:-: that is a long time, I'd get back in touch and find out how things are going - just in case think you've found a home meantime  ;)

Hello, yes Sammy has been on 3 waiting lists since October. These waiting lists are also for direct re-homing. I appreciate they are busy but Ive been on the waiting lists for 5 months.

Hi, when you contact rescues they are often really busy so you may need to ring a few times just check they have don't pts most won't.  If they say they are full you need to ask to go on a waiting list or better still probably ask for a 'direct homing' as I previously suggested so they will find Sammy a home whilst he's with your mum then he's not having to move twice - may be a better option all round?

Hello, no home has been found for Sammy and the rehoming centers havent gotten back to me since October.
Sammy has gone to live with my mum, but my mum hates cats and the situation is far from ideal.
Im at a loss now as to what I should do about it.

Hello, yes Ive asked them that already. I also have an advert in the paper and a card up in a local shop. I found this forum after I had exhausted every other avenue.
I heard the RSPCA put animals down that dont find a home so I havent contacted them, just the local cat resues.

If rescues are full you could ask if they will Direct Homing where they help find a suitable home but the cat stays with you until that time so isn't actually in rescue.  Best of luck.

Hi and welcome.  Sorry you're having to rehome Sammy she's lovely.

Have you contacted rescues in your area?

Due to me going away to university I am sadly looking for a home for my cat Sammy. She is 8 years old and very timid. But once you get to know her she likes her head to be stroked and a tickle under the chin. Sammy doesnt like children or sharing with other cats. She gets very nervous. Also she doesnt like to be picked up.

The ideal home for Sammy is a cat lover who has experience with cats & can take the time to bring Sammy out of her shell. Sammy likes to sleep on the couch, so a home where she can sleep on the furniture is a must. Sammy enjoys going outdoors & must have the use of a cat flap once she is used to her surroundings.

The new owner needs to live close to Bournemouth so its easy for me to vet the home and deliver her. All prospective homes will be vetted. My priority is to find her a good, loving home. If you have the right kind of home to offer Sammy please send me a message through this forum.
