Thats sad.  :(

My aunt has a busy road in front of her house and people are always speeding, she has had a cat killed and her son was knocked over once aswell, no harm done just shock, luckily. There is always casualties on this road and its also a school road, which makes no difference as drivers are always tearing down it, This makes me so angry. Who will it be next?  >:(

I have lost two of my cats two the road even though i live only minutes away from beautiful fields it breaks my heart to keep them in but i can't take that risk as I have seen two many accidents with other cats just lately :(

I can not imagine how awful your h2b must be feeling i would be devastated especially considering his current state.

Thoughts go out to you both and the owners of the poor cat xx

Really feel for your OH Angie.  Our Aslan died in RTA in very similar circumstances (quiet road, long front garden etc) within days of his mom dying last year.  It was terrible.   :hug: to your OH.

Really sorry Angie, I can only imagine how upset your OH must be.

Just a thought - if you have cat loving neighbours maybe you could club together and fence all your gardens in one go so the cats can share a bigger space?

Your road is so quiet I am so surprised. Your back garden is like a cat's paradise you would think Goose would stay there bless him.

I think he's a bit numb at the moment.
His mum died last week and her funeral was only this wednesday - he was off to pay for the hospitality at the pub.

I suppose you can't protect them from everything. We bought this house 'cos it was nice and quiet. The front drives are some 60 -70feet long before you reach the quiet road (no through road). Running down the lane on the other side of the road is a small brook and I think this attracts them to go over the road.

Our rear gardens are 100 yards lond and provides plenty of trees and shrubs and ponds, if you add all the neighbouring gardens into the equation its like they have their own park to play in.
 I suspect its all the human activity coming and going from the front makes this a more attractive proposition.

OH has just come in. He's just run over a cat down the road.

It's mad, we have been talking all day about Goose who has no road sense at all and then this happens!

Poor Cat, poot cat owners, poor AD.

We live in a really quiet road as well. OH said the cat came out of nowhere, he didn't have a chance to do anything.
He's found who it belongs to , Its the same family that lost one on the main road last year (I picked up to scan that one).

Goose has taken to running out to greet us, and yesterday when unloading the car, he got so excited he just dashed out into the middle of the road. Luckily there were no cars about.

Seriously going to have to rethink our outdoor policy now. I really hate to do it to them as they have acres of space out the back. Don't know why the silly butter are drwan to the front of the house.
