Hi Helen,

I've just caught with this and I find it both a wonderful tribute and very moving. It says everthing about your relationship with a beautiful cat.

Oh this is gorgeous! I love the box Helen. I think it's a lovely tribute.  And I may just be getting my sister one for her little bridge baby, I have a million photos of her.

That is such a lovely idea.  A beautiful box to remember a beautiful cat.  Wish I'd thought to do something like that with Magpie.  I didn't think to save anything of his (although I do still have an old cat bed covered in his hairs)

Gill, My one is 24cm lengthways, 18cm width and 13cm high, or in old money 9 1/2 x 7 x 5 inches.  She makes them to any size you would like though.

It's lovely Helen. Being able to keep Tiggy's things in something like that makes it more special.

A word of warning - keep it away from the babies if you want the beads to stay on!  :evillaugh:

It's lovely.  You can see how much care and attention has gone into it - she obviously understood just what a special girl Tiggy was (well, with 30 gorgeous piccies to use how could she not realise  :Luv:)

Tiggy's box
« Reply #1 on: March 28, 2007, 23:27:05 PM »
I was looking for a special box to keep Tiggy's things in like her collar (when I feel able to take it out from under my pilllow), the clipping of her tummy fur, her favourite bowl etc.  Despite furious googling I couldn't find anything that was special enough....

I saw a listing on ebay from a lady who handmakes keepsake boxes and decorates them with 'decoupage', then pretty beads, pearls and jewels and finally lacquered.  I emailed her 30 of my favourite Tiggy pictures and this is the result - I am absolutely thrilled with it.  She either makes them in a certain style or personalises them, mine was made to the exact dimensions I requested.  My one has Tiggy's photos which I emailed her and I asked for pictures of a Rainbow to represent the Bridge and of course the words 'Forever and Always xx' Whenever I left the house I used to say to Tiggy 'Love you baby, Forever and Always' and then blow her two kisses so those words mean a lot to me.

Here are the pics, just wanted to show them off  :)  Her website is http://www.prettyboxes.co.uk/gallery.htm  She is a lovely lady and so thoughtful, look at the cat bead in the close up pic.  This one was £28 including delivery but they start at £20 for a slightly smaller one
