I don't understand why some rescues are PTS a healthy FIV cat, and all the while when I e-mailed a certain national rescue to rehome an indoor cat with a health condition I got a horrible response!!  :tired:
:'( My beautiful Noah rescued 13/02/09, adopted 11/10/09, taken 11/02/11 :'( You deserved so much more.

Lovely boy  :Luv2:

Interesting concept to home the 2 urinary cats as indoor, if he supplemented a few % of his daily diet it wouldnt hurt him

Thank goodness Celia Hammond stepped in with him, and boo hissss to the rescue who were going to put him to sleep  :P

In this day and age it incenses me that they do not give FIV furries a chance, you look what a great life Max had, and now Poot as well!  Unless they are ill, they should be given every chance  :Luv2:

It breaks my heart and makes me so angry when I hear of healthy FIV+ cats being pts. Unfortunately, it is not just the rescue you are alluding to that does this. Leicester Animal Aid also have a pts policy for all FIV+ cats. Ironically, I have to say that Leicester RSPCA actually do rehome FIVs.

Luckily CHAT's vet contacted them http://www.catchat.org/chatsanct/cgibin/prview.cgi?id=2010013003

I think I can guess which one  :tired:

DO NOT BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE

I believe I am not interested to know whether Vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't. To know that the results are profitable to the race would not remove my hostility to it.  Mark Twain
