Animal Friends: pet insurance recommendation

My ex vet has come at me with a claim that I owe him £1000 dating back to january 09. It's been so stressful dealing with this, on top of losing both my boys last year. I always asked what I owed and paid what I was told, but they claim they've 'missed' all of this over the year. So as you can imagine, first step is to work out what was due and what was paid, both by me and by the insurers.

I went to the insurance company  - Animal Friends - to ask them for help with detailed info on all the amounts claimed and settled. I wasn't expecting much help as I'm no longer a client, plus I paid £12 pm per cat and they forked out thousands to the vet last year. But they just could not have been nicer and more helpful and are sending me print outs etc. I just thought I'd go on here and recommend them. They are no longer underwritten by E&L either btw. Give credit where it's due. I just wish my home insurers were as impressive.  It's helped me such a lot with all the stress generated by the vet.
