Excellent news.
In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

Home safe!!!!  If only finding Lilly was that easy!  He was about 10 doors away from home!!!

Went out with my friend on a trawl of the neighbourhood (which I think he thought was pointless) and purely by luck he heard a faint meow coming from a garden we were outside!  He went in (fortunately it was an open garden and the people in the house didn't have any security lights and there was his cat.  He was quite nervy and although he let us approach him he didn't want to be caught.  Fortunately I had my cat catching kit which consists of a pillowcase, squeaky toy and a Webbox long treat.  He was huddled by the side of a shed which made it easier to grab him once he was tempted out by the treat.  Managed to keep hold of him to get him home so no pillowcase was needed.

Just hope he doesn't make a run for it again next time the door is opened.   Hopefully he will also be neutered now he is showing an interest in the outside world and the ladies.

Near the old infirmary so quite a way from you but an unneutered tom can travel!

Where in Blackburn are you based? I'll keep a look out if you are in close proximity.

I know!  Apparently he was spotted across the road from his home the afternoon he escaped and may have been spotted close by today so fingers crossed it's not his hormones and he is just excited at being out.  Not to sure on the second sighting as we came across one that is very similar to him on our street walk this evening, but it is something to be hopeful for.

 :thanks:

Gosh, it's like deja vu - this time last year I was pounding the streets looking for Lilly, this time it's for my colleague's cat who I kitten-sat last year.  Fondly known as demon cat from hell, he's part bengal and was being kept inside until he was neutered .  Unfortunately kitty had other ideas and escaped on Saturday morning.  He's un-neutered, not wearing a collar and not chipped so we are fighting against the odds for getting him back.  Only 8 months old and quite small for his age but apparently had been showing signs that he was calling for lady friends so maybe his hormones have gotten the better of him.

Have passed all the usual information on, but you never know who may read this! :)
