As luck would have it, I get notifications of replies, so will sort through my deleted items and see what I can find - some of the others came off my American forum, so will look at that later. Ela suggested radios, that I do remember!! And I am going to start buying one tin of food extra when I go shopping, as it isn't a lot for me to pay out, but will feed a cat in a rescue for at least a day. Another suggestion on my American forum was to put change in a jar, then add it up at the end of the year, plus make up a box for the humans!! I am going to do that next year too.
Thanks for the wish list Mbll, I am going to run that by the rescue tonight and see if we can have that on our website. Others from the American forum were scratchposts, old carpet (Can be cut up to put in pens), old pillowcases, trays. There really is so much that could be easily absorbed into a weekly shop, yet would make such a big difference. And so much that I didn't realise.
