Oh my she's lovely  :Luv2:

When I got my Ollie he was 4 weeks old, I was told 9 weeks by his stupid owner, I had to take him to the vets as he wasn't eating, the vets said to use kitten biscuits and put a little cool boiled water onto them then leave them to soak- once soaked mush it up into a paste- easier for kitty to lap up then. I done this with Ollie and gradually introduced kitten food, this done him good and he's been a gannet ever since  :evillaugh:

Hope she continues to do well  :)

That is lovely that your older cat looks after the kitten  :Luv:

As others have said if she is eating solids then she won't need bottle feeding.

I blend Natures Menu kitten with some Cimicat (kitten milk available online or from your vet) for kittens who are just starting to eat solids. It looks absolutely vile but usually goes down very well! It may also be worth trying small amounts of raw food with her. One of my last litter of kittens wouldn't touch solid food at all and we tried all sorts of different foods but when I put some lamb mince down she went potty and ate the lot (she did then gradually start eating commercial wet and dry)

You can get complete raw food from here: http://food4-cats.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=69&products_id=187

A quick check up at the vets for her would be a good idea as well just so they can check her over.

Sorry to hear about your other cat but it's great that your persian is getting on so well with the kitten. Sounds like it was meant to be  :)

Sometimes we mix wet kitten food like whiskas supermeat type with a little of the made up milk formula so its quiet soupy and most little ones like this.
Sounds like your doing a great job

Milly's Mum calls that a 'meaty milkshake'  :evillaugh:

If shes eating solids you dont need a bottle.

she is but not much, i know they dont eat much at that age anyway, but she doesn't eat that much at all, im not too worried though as she seems fine and has plenty of energy for playing between her naps.

we have panicur to worm which will be done soon

If shes eating solids you dont need a bottle. As others have said you can supplement her with milk from vet, Royal Canin vital milk is my choice, she needs to be fed with a wet kitten food as well as the JWB unless she is drinking plenty. She will need proper worm and flea treatment from vet also.
Good Luck

the vet has special kitten milk and bottles I think - there are a few rescue people on here who know all about this, hopefully one of them will see this soon - poor little babe, do you think they were feral or dumped?

i doubt she's feral, she's too friendly and isnot scared of people, quiet the opposite lol

hi,

whilst walking my dog I found (well he did lol) two kittens curled up together, unfortunately one was already dead. that was saturday evening. now the remaining little girl seems to be doing okay, she's eating wet cat food (nature's menu) and has james wellbeloved kitten food down aswell.  my other cat (8 year old persian) has taken to mothering her, cleaning her, and playing with her.

she seems healthy enough, sleeps quietly curled up on me, or if i go out i'll come back to find her asleep with my other cat. she's eating (loves the odd bit of tuna), pooing and weeing fine, (couple of accidents but she's getting the hang of litter training)

but what can i be doing for her, I know at this age she should still be with her mum, so does she need bottle feeding at all? if she does what do we use and where can i get hold of a kitten bottle?

thanks
pics will come soon lol
