Our second tray is a £2.99 underbed storage box from Home Bargains, it isn't as high sided as a 'proper' tray but it's deep and large enough to keep Noah's mess contained.  ;D It's the same clear-white as Horza's excellent invention, which I prefer to most of the commercial litter tray colours.
:'( My beautiful Noah rescued 13/02/09, adopted 11/10/09, taken 11/02/11 :'( You deserved so much more.

£2.95 or free over £49 (as stated on their website  ;) )

I'm sure your local store would get one in if you asked. They must have deliveries from HO a few times a week?

Decided I was going to get one of these in blue or black for Mog:

Only to find our local store don't stock them. :tired: How much is it for delivery from PAH?

Well I have now realised that I have at least one old litter tray in a cupboard that I'd forgotten about.  It's not high backed like I want, but it is quite a deep tray (base of a covered tray) so I will use that to start with.  I can then replace it with a high back one when the time comes.  I don't even know if he is going to use it yet so daft spending money I don't have on a new tray.  I had totally forgotten that I rarely throw away old trays - I usually wash them and put them away somewhere for some future emergency!  I am going to try and sort out the bathroom this weekend and get the new tray installed.

I looked in PAH today and all the trays were way too small for Jaffa.  They must assume all cats are small  :shify:  I quite liked the pet boutique ones but they were a bit small and the plastic was very thin.  If they'd been a bit stronger and a bit larger, I might have got a black one (no way would I get Jaffa a pink one!).  I think purrsonal touch might be the place to go and they tend to do most of the cat shows so when I'm looking for a replacement, I might be able to get one from a show (maybe the next Supreme).

been in pah today and their higj backed trays were good cos the front no higher than my current ones. that height is too much for little cats susanne like ducha who sits with front paws out but they only have pink and black grrrrrrrrrrr, not sure he would be able to rest front paws on side or front though, which he also needs to ba able to do.

This is exactly the tray in your picture isn't it Susanne? ;D http://www.pet-supermarket.co.uk/products-Pet-Mate-High-Back-Litter-Pan_CA1884.htm

That review is hilarious, was it deliberate do you think? I mean, how could you mistaken Zooplus for M&S!?

They have stopped selling the good hooded trays in PAH - they have small ones that are really inferior to the ones they used to sell. There are quite a few online places that still sell the Marchioro ones though.

The Petmate one near the bottom of the page looks like the one you want Susanne - they have a large & an XL http://www.purrsonaltouch.com/litter-trays.html

never seen one like that and it looks far to deep for mine, although if it wasnt so deep would love a raised back.

I don't think it's as high at the front as it looks.  It says the back is 10 inches high so the front can't be more than 4-5 inches.

I quite like the cleany tray actually.  not sure about the lip though - hope it won't deter Jaffa from climbing in.  The one on zooplus is bigger than the one at canineconcepts so I'll have to get the tape measure out and see which would fit best.  His current tray is huge but a hoodless one acting as a 2nd tray probably needn't  be quite as big and I need to be sure it will fit in the bathroom.  I think I'll go to PAH after work and check out litter trays there too.  I definetely want a high back as Jaffa has a tendency to wee standing up, or to start crouched and then stand up mid wee!

 :thanks:

I will check out the dimensions of the various ones posted.  I don't think Jaffa will have a problemwith the height at the front as he often climbs into the hooded one at the side (when the hood is off obviously!)  I don't think anything from PAH will be big enough.  Jaffa is a long cat.

Susanne, I was looking for one like that for Mog (because of the overspill that tends to occur with her) but realised it might be too high. at the front.

Is this one any good:

Alternatively, might be a bit girly but.....

I saw high backed hooded ones in PAH just the other day so concur with everyone else! It is also the same as the one I had in NZ and it does have a high back and is quite deep. I'm going to get one when I move as I'll have the space for a larger tray, feel a bit sorry for Dave cramming himself into the current one :-[

It is similar but the hooded ones I have had have all been pretty much the same height all way round.  I want one with a raised back but it needs to be large.  I rarely look at hooded trays in shops now tbh as they are all too small but I could look at PAH and Jolleyes to see if they have any that would be that shape when the hood is taken off.

I'm looking for a new litter tray to provide a 2nd tray for Jaffa and want one like this.  This is a photo I took and uploaded into photobucket ages ago and I can't remember where I saw it.  I've looked at a few sites online and none of them seem to sell a tray like this.  Anyone seen one?
