OK, here's her profile:
Name: Florrie
Breed: DSH
DOB: 25th Dec, 2006 (estimated)
Gender: Female
Florrie was a rescue cat and was rescued with a litter of her but sadly none of her babies survived. Not long after she got her health check and neutered she was adopted. But due to the change of circumstance of her owner she was sent back to the rescue center sometime July last year.
That was how we adopted her! My husband and I fell in love with her the moment we entered the house and saw her sitting on the sofa, with her round green eyes widely opened, looking so innocent! She arrived on 29th July, 2009. She's so beautiful, with mainly black on her back and white on belly. She's very cat - timid, curious, sensitive and independant.
She is always an outdoor cat so she's a very good hunter! Although she may appears to be very daring, we think deep inside she's still a shy lady. It's not easy for her to settle down and relax in a new environment. She loves a cuddle but doesn't quite like being picked up. She likes being on her own.
She's such a trouble-free cat that she never ever caused us any prob at all! She stays away from bottles, fragiles, leather sofa, human food, cables....and she's always very careful on her pass, never touched down any item on my messy table!
We've had her for around 6 months by now and we so enjoyed her company. And I've noticed that, day by day, she gets trusting us more and more, relying on us more and more and affectionate more and more. I start to feel that she's realising that we love her and will love her for her life. She might be a bit "slow" or "conservative" in getting into this status but i'm still so pleased to see the everyday change.
While i'm writing this Florrie is sleeping right beside me, maybe having some good dreams as I can hear her murmuring. Oh yes she's becoming more and more talkative, too!
I really hope that Florrie can have a very long, healthy and happy life, which she certainly deserves!
