Apparently, the cat was found in Shepherd's Bush so I've ammended the title.
Please consider the harder to home cats in rescue.

I finally managed to get through to Putney and have assured myself it's not Bacon. This cat has teeth missing and sounds a few years older than Bacon at 14. You just have to try things I guess.

Hope this kitty finds someone.

rescues of course do move cats around from one place to another, when space is short

if the RSPCA do this, the place where a cat ends up need not be the place where found

I keep trying to phone Putney RSPCA just to check if it's my cat. It's a long way out of area, but I need to be sure (we have  train line about 100yds from our house which runs to Shepherd's Bush - my cat lived next to a train line for 6 years up til last November).

The problem is, I simply can't get anyone to pick up the bloody phone there!

Why not ring Nat, who found him?  He may just possibly be able to confirm - or otherwise - a distinguishing mark .

I spoke to Nat a few days ago. Unfortunately one black cat is very like another when you're trying to describe them and she hadn't got a photo.

do we know where the poster below who lost a black cat in Walthamstow used to live?

a long shot, of course, but worth just checking with her

that would be me - I used to live in Hertford and I'm checking out that way too!

If an owner doesnt come forward could we find him a home ?

If his owner is not found, I'm very near Putney: I can collect him if we can find him somewhere.  I can collect him anyway, if it comes to that.

I don't have this boy, please contact the phone number below! Or the through the link at the bottom of th page. Thanks!

Found Jan 14th

Not chipped and no collar but very friendly, he wouldn't leave my front door
so I took him in and he climbed/staggered straight on to my bed and purred when I stroked him so must have been a much loved pet at some stage.

Some problems with his back legs so now at vets, update from vets today (saturday) is that he is getting stronger now with food and warmth, but an old cat and may have some neurological problem causing back leg weakness

Neutered, all black, vet estimates 11-14 years old

Now at RSPCA hospital in Putney, they will only keep for a week before PTS so I am desperate to find his owners

His ref number is pc58013

If you know anyone who has lost a black male neutered cat please please get in touch

Phone: Nat on 07703566700
