The other week I was flicking through the stations and there was a Best Advert of the Noughties programme on - it was down to the last 10 so I watched it. Meercat was no.2

The latest Hovis one was no. 1 - the one where it goes back to the very 1st ad and then he runs along the street and he's older and in a later ad a few years on..... until it gets to 2009. - it was ok but not as good as meercat

The meerkat was created by the VCCP advertising agency, owned by Chime Communications

The attention to detail, like in the recent advert - Aleksandr turns to his left, fade out and fade in to the next scene - has the Arab Meerkat in the same position, same when Arab Serg looks through the empty can of grubs, it links into the 'sun' in the next frame - absolutely faboulous thought and detail that gives it all a very highly polished look.

I particularly like the 'meet team' section - Sergei is very old. It is difficult to date him exactly, but I estimate him no less than 77.

I wonder if there is anyone on here who is very good with photoshop and such things - to be able to 'add on' an Aleksander smoking jacket (damn those classy Meerkats!). It would be fun to see!.
