Lynn your cats are so unruly lol

I was amazed to find my neigbours ginger Tom had done that. Just forced his way through the flap and split the plastic up the middle !    ...

Kyle got through our locked cat flap as well - she is just a fluffy battering ram  :evillaugh:

Hi...late reply..sorry

It's just a normal cat flap .. we have to open it if it's shut other than that the cat lifts it up and goes out .. what happened this night was very strange as the cat flap was fully shut .. not even sam could get out.

Yes like one of mine too, she just breaks it open.

I am sure she got in thro flap and then couldnt get out, either cos she was scared or it was stuck or on in only.

It took my cats ages to learn that they could go both ways thro the flap!

Could your cat flap have been locked for exit only?? But open for cat's coming in? If this has happened he would have come in, then not been able to get back out?

Long time since i've used this, so here goes my 3rd topic.
Right, tonight we had a tabby cat in the house and the cat flap was shut and so were the doors and windows so how could it have got in? We only know about this cat being in because Dad told me there's a cat in the kitchen and it wasn't Sammie. According to him it was jumping about the kitchen going mad (obviously trying to find a way out). When I arrived the cat started meowing at me, I wasn't sure if it was harmless or not so didnt bother touching it. I tried opening the cat flap - the darn thing didn't want to leave that way so had to open the back door in the end to let it out.

Ok, long post with very much detail but my point: How did it get in the house in the first place? Why hadn't it made itself known before? Has anyone else here had an experience like this?
