That's me sold as I have no doubt when he comes over here and we've built the big catrun he will become a giant hunstman and he will be a bright star I'm sure! Tbh I just heard the name in a film and went "ooo I wonder if that would be a good name"   :-[:evillaugh:

Now to email his breeders and ask if they'd mind calling him Orion as I'd imagine trying to get him used to a new name at 11-12 months would be impossible!

I did love the suggestion of Yeti though  :evillaugh:

Just looked at a map of Europe and the poor boy is going to get a nice shock at the difference between winter temps in the Netherlands and the winter temps here I think looking at how far south he is living at the mo!!

I never did in the way that people seem to call all black cats "Sooty", white cats "Snowy" and grey cats "Smokey" (sorry to anyone who used those names!) but I do like it when it's a word meaning something appropriate from a different culture. (I used the words Nameva and Impuku as names for the spiny mice.....they mean "thorny" and "mouse" in Afrikaans and Zulu. ;))

He's being called 'Snow' by them Hannah. It's so hard choosing a name when I haven't met the kitten! All I have to go on for a name is he has a super temper and he's apparently really huge which was where the possibility of Aloeus came from as it means 'Father of Giants' which hopefully he will be!

i like rather like quinn.  although i like snow i do think its rather like star... but then again, i think thats maybe just me being me!

I'd go for anything other than snow! I no longer like colour related names like smokey and snowy wish i knew i would end up keeping tabitha cos wouldnt have chosen that lol

Snow patrol are irish/scottish so id look for a name thats popular in either country or maybe take Quinn after the drummer  ;D

Don't let this put you off - I had a rat called Orion, and he was the friendliest, cuddliest rat I remember ever sharing my home with. I love that name, but do like Snow too. :)

I am struggling to decide on a pet name for Snow and need to decide soon if I'm to ask his breeders to start calling him something else.

I'm currently leaning towards Orion but I have put up a few others I like or feel free to suggest something else for my lovely big boy.
