My friend is adopting one - we're going to go and pick him up  next week but they don't look much like persians to me :)

mmm selkirks are basically curly persians i think and they were more of a "manufactured" rather than naturally occuring breed.

I havent seen one myself tho.

She might like to look at selkirk rexes too... I'm giving a friend a lift to pick one up next week  ;D they're gorgeous cats.

ps they should spend time on that website looking at all the different laperms, the long hairs can look quite different to my shorthaired boy and some look really shaggy and or curly where as cody is "merely" wavy.

Someone on another forum I use is asking what breed cat would suit her - she likes rexes and already has a cross breed cornish rex/moggy mix but her partner prefers something a bit less extreme looking.? I've suggested a laperm!? Do you mind if I post a couple of photos of Cody to show her what they look like?? Or is that a silly question? ;D
