I would say bonking to my vet, he has a sense of humour and probably would expect me to say something like that........he has me sending him all my jokes and some say much worse

If that is the type of thing you are comfortable to say then you do what you want, it is just that I presume most of us would not use that wording.

Id not say it to a vet lol
but i use the term shagging a lot if im talking about "it" to a friend or familey member

There is a seabird called a shag though isn't there? I think the shag is a bit like a cormarant but different. You see shags on the rocks in St Ives sometimes. Well perhaps you don't but we do.

Lynn this sounds like he's putting the teddy into a frame. That's where I would most use the term 'mounting'.

you might want to use the expression "mounting" rather than humping when speaking to the vet though..sounds abit nicer.

We had a cat years ago that used to do this........all my eldest lads teddies had bald patches where he'd hold on for grim death whilst he was at it

He didn't care who was there, if I hid the teddies he'd find them and I regularly found him at it on my son's bed

I took him to the vets and they gave him a course of Ovarid which is a female hormone.........it didn't work so we just had to put up with it........lol

my mums dog who is 5yrsold was neutered at 11mths old
humps his duvet from his bed
he puts a bit in is mouth and bites it then humps it
his u know wat comes right out when he does it
and it makes me sick

We have had 2 boys who have done this. Our first ever boy Monty, who is no longer with us, used to like humping duvets, and now our Tommy does this. Tommy has a lambswool rug that he is very fond of

The family Border Collie has a silly 5 minutes and starts humping things sometimes... I wonder if its just some lingering bit of instinct that fires off once in a while cos not only was Daisy neutered 4 years ago but she's a girl too!

Yes Peewee does this, and when he does he smells like an unneutered tom.

I think a vet check or at least a discussion with the vet is required to ensure there are no problems that can be sorted

My eldest, Bear, has taken to humping a Teddy bear - and i mean going at it 10 for the dozen lol
He is neutered (done at 6mths) and is 12yrs old !

I didnt think they "got the urge" when they have been done

Anyone else come across this ???
