Edited to add - he also jumped up onto the bed for like a nanosecond today, and of his own accord as well

Hmmm, didn't manage to get any pics last night, Poot wore himself out with a running around session just before I got home apparently, so he was snoozy boy on the sofa most of the evening!

He made up for it though by hooning around during the night, I know I heard him pouncing on his Primark bag in the lounge at about 3am

His Auntie Tessa came round last night for some snuggles and chirrupy meows (she hadn't heard them before

) and got a lap cuddle as well, so she was very honoured

She commented that the change in him in a week is just amazing, he's so much more confident and does mega purrs now as well, which is excellent

I'll have a go at getting some new pics tonight, and make sure J doesn't wear him out too early today

He was also wandering around in the bedroom a bit more this morning, and had tail up not tail down, which I guess means more confidence. He still won't come up on the bed though, but maybe that will just take a bit more time, if he even wants to come up at all

Ive only ever broken one, I shanked the ball so badly the string went pop at the top

You're more likely to break strings if you use lots of topspin, so not always about how hard you hit the ball, although that's obviously a factor.

Makes no difference to me, soon as mine get furry my very lovely tennis coach person restrings it for me

Clare, I am so pleased that Poot has settled in well and it is obvious that he is very happy in his new home. He is so gorgeous, such stunning markings and a sweet little panda face in the photo round the table legs. I am sure that Max found him for you at just the right time.

I have the same with Hobbes when he is falling asleep, as he closes his eyes you can see the third eyelid but then it goes away when he opens them. I was a bit worried when I first saw it but I've realised it is normal for him. I can vouch for the fact that Hobbes is very healthy (especially last night when he was chasing Dylan at bedtime

)

I figured as much, he seems absolutely fine in himself, not even the hint of a sniffle, and it is only when he's sleepy, otherwise you can't see it. I'll monitor, and he does get any sniffles, then I'll get him checked out being FIV.

We had a friend pop round last night, and Poot was a very good boy, no running upstairs to hide under the bed this time, he stayed out in the lounge, then popped over to give him a sniff and a little headbutt

He's continuing to do really well, still eating like a monster, and litter tray all fine still so that's all good

One thing I've noticed with him is that when he's tired, you can see his third eyelid - it sort of comes across a bit, then when he opens his eyes wider it disappears again? You could never really see Max's as it was black, and he was of course all black as well so you never noticed it. Is this normal?

Oh, and I got a proper little miaow from him this morning, he sleeps outside the bedrooms on the little landing, and he does little chirrups, but I actually got an open mouthed miaow as well today, really quiet, but ever so cute
