Hi everyone. I will be taking Joey shortly to the vets. He is very very weak and in honesty nearly gone already.

we are gutted but know in our hearts we have done the right thing by joey in giving him some extra time and I really don't want him to have to suffer right at the end.

He has had a very peaceful night curled up on his comfy bed and pain free but he is ready to join the others.

So sorry to hear this. Fingers crossed some miracle occurs and he's just having an off day. Regardless, thank you for caring enough to make poor Joey comfortable and doing all you can to help him. If he goes, he leaves knowing what it is like to be loved and cared for and you'll always have his pics to remind you of his appreciation

hi guys, sorry to have to be the bearer of this news but Joey has taken a turn for the worse today. He is very weak tonight, refuses to eat and his little cheeky glint is fading. He is resting comfortably but we are afraid that this may be time for Joey to pass to Rainbow Bridge.

We have settled him down for the night as he is resting very peacefully and we'll check on him in the morning.

I am so so sorry guys we have really tried our very best for Joey and are devestated but unless a miracle happens overnight I think Joey is being called to join Colby and others at the Bridge.

Thank you SO SO SO much to everyone who has supported us and Joey. Its been an emotional rollercoaster and we are so very very appreciative of everyone's support and kind wishes.

It never fails to amaze me how animals that have suffered so much can still pour out so much love. The photos were heartbreaking and it is beyond belief that someone has allowed this boy to get into this state and not thought or cared enough to help him. How do they live with themselves? As others have said, he is clearly enjoying the comfort you are giving him now.

He certainly looks like he is enjoying life at the moment Sarah, so you definitely did the right thing and I hope he continues to improve and proves the vet wrong. Have you got him on any food to build him up like a/d or cat milk?

How lovely of you to give this boy a chance. Like others have said, he looks very content despite his serious problems. Some years ago we took in an elderly, virtually blind, almost deaf female cat who was in an awful state when she arrived and was diagnosed with cancer before too long. She only survived 9 months but she had a very comfortable final 9 months. Whilst I hear what you say about poor Joey's health problems perhaps being too severe, he may yet surprise you and, like you, I hope he does. Even so, if only for a few weeks, he will be as comfortable as it's possible to make him and I just want to

you both for it.
