Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't been back sooner the weekend was hectic.  Good news managed to get Red out and even better we managed to find a lovely foster for her.  An experieinced staffie owner who's own elderly dog,Bob died just before christmas.  He doesnt want another dog of his own yet but is delighted to foster Red.  D can see her whenever she wants.  So all we've got to do now is get D on her feet and her and Red Back together.   :thanks:
x She

Sending positive wishes to D, hoping she realises this is the start of a new life without being scared of her partner 24/7.

Good luck in getting Red and finding somewhere safe either permanently OR even better, temporarily until D has found her feet again.

D the lady in question, has finally gone to sleep crying her heart out.  Ray my husband is going to get Red out tomorrow morning when her ex is at work.  We have got help for 24 hours but our help is  going back to sea but it does give us a little more time.  D will recover but that will also take a lot of time.  We did contact the police about Reds situation but they did not care (its only a dog ) even though we told them that D was being blackmailed by ex  to stop charges or the dog would be killed. Her ex did not realise that D couldnt stop the charges these days and the police will prosecute. Sorry Im very tired. Will come back tomorrow hopefully with good news.

Have you put this on Pet Rescue UK? I wish I could help, but my cats HATE dogs! Hope this womans situation improves soon.

I know this is not cats but if anyone can please cross post Ive posted this on dog pages and the Refuge.
My OH and I have just taken in a young woman who has been beaten to a pulp. Police are dealing so I cant go into too much detail.  She has a beautiful Staffi, Red, she has all the papers for her but because  my house has 3 cats and a soppy dog and Red is animal agressive she cant come to my home and is still with her ex.  Her ex has now threatened to put her dog to sleep. I dont know if this threat is serious but because of the state of the woman in my care I think it is. I am trying to find a fosterer for this dog. Somewhere in the Bournemouth Southampton area if anyone could give me any advice or help I would be very grateful.

Thank you all
luv she

P.S. she is a typical Staff and loves people and children
