Nope, nothing - I replied saying it was fine to use his pic but haven't heard anything since.  All the Purrs cats are winners in my eyes anyway  :)

Helen that is a serioulsy lovely picture of him,  I think he stands EVERY chance of winning,  it is just one of those 'perfect moment' photos that dont come around very often and he is such a scrummy boy x  Maybe they will do a TV promotion/ad on the top cats so far,  I know they are promoting the comp hard on the packs so maybe he will be on TV  :Luv2:

It is really exciting isnt it,   the pic you entered of Riley was a wonderful pic and he is a lovely handsome cat ,  come on Riley we need you to win  :Luv2: :Luv2:  (no pressure like !!)

I don't think he stands a snowballs chance in hell of winning but it's nice that he's been picked for this ad/PR thingy, was probably just a random % of entries that got emails though  :shy:

Oh no, you didn't   Riley's a real star.  I'll represent the little fella for free  :)

Maybe I should email them back and say they need to go through his agent  :evillaugh:

I googled the PR company and they have some pretty big names - maybe they will want to take Riley on their books  :evillaugh:

Bound to, Helen.  Which PR company is it?

i dont think its asking for a photo of you as well though... the request for the number isnt the main thing - the asking for permission is, and it says to help promote him.....  dunno, maybe thats just how i read it.
anyway, just say you cant go in the pic cos youre on witness protection or something  :evillaugh:

go riley!!!!!!

Well Riley has consulted his PR guru and they have advised him to seize the opportunity with both paws, he's a bit upset that they haven't asked Lukey but he says he will represent Lu and all the other Purrs cats too  :) (that's on the condition that they don't want a pic of his Mum aswell  :evillaugh:)

I'd love to win the food for a rescue but they're probably sending out these emails to loads of entrants.  I'll email them and see if it involves a picture of me at all as there is ZERO chance of that happening!

How exciting!!

Im not a great fan of being photographed, either, but if its for a promotion in a paper, they should let you choose the final photo, I would think.

This is Rileys big moment!!  Go for  furr it   :)

 :omg: :omg: :omg:

Just got this email from Whiskas... Don't think I can go through with it though, I don't do photos of me  :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

Hi Helen,

We look after the PR for Whiskas and thought that your entry about Riley was really great and have identified him as a cat we would like to profile in your region.  We would like to tell your local newspaper all about your cat and try to gain some local support for him.

We were hoping you would like to be involved with this and hopefully make your cat famous in your town!  If you would be happy for us to show off your cat please drop me a line to let me know. Also, we will need a daytime telephone number so we can give you a call to discuss what we’re up to in a little more detail.

Thanks and look forward to hearing from you soon,

Matt
