The fur around Dylan's bottom was really long so we used to cut it with scissors but he sat at the litter tray in a rather strange position sometimes

and so sometimes 'bits' would stick to his tail also. I mentioned this while he was being groomed and so she clipped the area really short. She also did the top bit of under his tail, (if that makes sense!) so 'bit's' wouldn't get sandwiched! We then bought a pair of Wahl clippers from Argos and trimmed his trousers, bottom and under-tail. He didn't mind the sound too much and I think he preferred that to us chasing him around the house with a box of wipes

And I preferred that to finding "Dylan patches" as we called them... on the bed, sofas, bath mat, carpets and best of all my bath towel that he had conveniently knocked onto the floor and slept on

They are a bit. Mind you, I just ran them right next to Joe who is laid out on the landing, and I don't think he even opened his eyes! LOL!

Are they very hummy gillian? I use scissors on taz but not being great at hairdressing he never looks very well styled

would like a smoother look but hes very suspicious of odd noises, especially if they are near his botty

I trim tazs trousers, he gets allsorts stuck in them

if he ever has a loose tummy they get done shorter.
You need to have full control before putting scissors anywhere near a cat, if you cant then clippers or a groomer would be a safer alternative

I don't have the problem with my Coonie, but I used to have a Persian that had "runny poo" quite often. I used to wash her behind with a cloth and a soft soap.
They have special gloves for dogs, maybe you could try the small version on your cat?

I vouch for the baby wipes. Lexy hates them. As she's a short hair I can brush it out for her once its dried if I've missed a bit, but for the most part the wipes do a great job. I have had far too many skid marks on my carpets that now the wipes live near the litter tray!

Gizmo has very furry trousers , and on a few occasions recently we have noticed they are getting a bit dirty. He gets brushed daily but obviously if 'it' dries before we can get to him his bottom area gets matted and it hurts him. Mr Kirst has suggested maybe if we gave him a little trim it would help to ease the problem??

Does anyone else trim their furries unmentionables??
