I always space out flea and worm treatments, as well as not using either any time close to a vaccination. If, for example i'd rescued a cat riddled with both, i'd probably do both together just that once.

I would guess fleas first, but i know one carries the lavae of t'other but i can't remember which way 'round it goes.

Fleas carry larvae of worms.

Ah thank you, so yep, i'd do fleas first.

Just to throw a spanner in the works, I flea one weekend and throw tablets down the next. A vet told me it lessens the "Toxic load".

If you are using one spot on and one tablet, I would do them at the same time, it is only if using two spot ons there should be a gap.

Sequence Of Events Re Fleas & Worms ?

Hi,

Is there a preferred sequence of events when treating for fleas and worms ? Logically, I would have thought treat fleas first with Frontline then a few days later treat worms with Drontal.

Any views appreciated.

Rgds
