Firstly I'm really sorry not to have updated you all on this little bunch but we have been so overwhelmed here I have barely had time to pop on the forum to catch up on all the news.

To make up for it thought I havea piccie fest for you all.  These are pics of Skye's litter taken this week as they were getting ready to leave us and head to their new homes.

Aren't they just stunning??  Enjoy! :)

thanks guys! :Luv2:  yeah Skye is being such a good mum although she still has her grumpy moments.  that said I really don't blame her as the babies are still SOOO demanding and the little girl tabby is a right little tomboy and has been the first to do everything so far!  But she is SOOOO cute too! lol

They are all just about steady on their feet now and are starting to get a little more adventurous I think much to mum's dismay as she knows it won't be long before they are are all out and can follow her around! lol   Hopefully it won't be too long and we can get mum spayed and ready for rehoming herself as she really does need to find somewhere of her own.  My heart sinks every now and again when I look at her or catch a glimpse of her suckling on the fleece throw.... she is just but a baby herself and has had to endure so much.  But we will make sure she finds a home where she is treated like a princess!!

I will try to get some more pics this week we are run off our feet here at the moment and full to bursting!

I've just been reading through this and looking at the pictures from when the kittens were born up to now, they are so gorgeous and so is Skye, what a brave little soul she has been.  I'm so glad she is enjoying some TLC with you and hope she gets a wonderful home of her own and all the kittens as well.  They're a lovely little family and are obviously being treated with much love and care. :)

This has in this instance been the very best move for mum Skye.  She has been far more relaxed and I was very surprised last night when she actually jumped up onto my knee for a pet :wow:   followed by great interest in Pauls boot laces and she actually PLAYED!!!  ;D   :Luv2:

This is just wonderful news in itself  :Luv:

Glad mum and babies are all doing brilliantly, can't wait to see more piccies  :wow:

Just a quick update for you folks... I do have more piccies taken at the weekend just need to get a chance to upload them!

All the babies are doing well and coming on brilliantly and mum is being SUCH a good mum.  Very attentive and happy.  We have moved mum and babies to allow mum to have a little more choice to leave the babies or sit with them as she was getting SOOOO overwhelmed by them constantly wanting attention and feeding that mum was getting very narky and stressed.  She is such a small little cat and the babies are BIG for their size to the end result was that the kittens won every time! poor mum was exhausted.

Moving mum and babies isn't something I would usually do but in this instance it was the best course of action and they are now all very happily living in our sitting room where babies are secure and mum Skye can pop in and out til her hearts content and it gives us the opportunity to continue working with mum.

This has in this instance been the very best move for mum Skye.  She has been far more relaxed and I was very surprised last night when she actually jumped up onto my knee for a pet :wow:   followed by great interest in Pauls boot laces and she actually PLAYED!!!  ;D   :Luv2:

We were in shock.  She has been with us for so long and it now appears we are making some headway with her and she is actually able to act like a cat of her age.  We are very much hoping that by having her begin to get accustomed with every day normal home life that it will help to bring on her trust even more and we will be able to find her a loving new home she deserves once babies are up and off her and she has been spayed.

Look out for piccies to follow once I get a chance to upload them... hopefully later today!   They are seriously cute!  :Luv2:

she has 6 of the little fatties! :Luv2:  all as demanding as the next.

Angie - Its a bit of both.  Skye is small for her age and the kittens are big and fat. Give them another week and mummy won't stand a chance they'll be walking all over her... literally! bless her.

She is being SO good though and we are so proud of her.  She is a small petite little cat so its hard to think that those 6 fatties came from such a small mum but she is doing a great job of contending with them all, if a little grumpy at times.  But we can handle that as its nothing compared to her raging attacks when she first arrived, albiet that was through fear.

She's been through a lot in her short little life but these will be her last and then we can have her spayed and into a new forever home where she will be treated like a queen!   :)  :Luv2:

Well they are either very huge or Sky is very small. She looks little more than a baby herself - certainly not the 15 months.

Hi Guys,

Here are a few more piccies of the wonderful Skye and her babies coming to the end of Week 2.  She continues to be a good mum although does get a tad p'd off at their demanding nature at times.  She is SO proud of them and we are of her as she has done so so well.  As you will see the babies are HUGE big chunky monkeys and are doing well.  Their eyes have all opened over the last couple of days and these pics were taken over the weekend.

I have a video which is SO cute... but have to reduce in size before I upload so will sort that out later when I get back from taking Storm to her new home.

Enjoy!   :Luv2:   (excuse the poor quality pics... were taken on the wee camera!)
