Glad you've found us, I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.  It really is a very friendly forum with lots of friendly helpful advice, if ever needed, and of course lots of fun.

I do feel it my public duty to warn you though that it can be a teensy bit addictive  You have been warned  :evillaugh:

Oh, and as Dawn says - where are the photos, it's in the :rules: you know!

I know there are a good few pedigrtee's in rescue, before Christmas I fostered a blind Siamese, he was blind because someone had either hit him on the head, or kicked him...He had a lot of issues, I rehomed with a friend and made her aware of his problems, I had him 2 months, she had him 6 months, he had to be put to slep earlier this month due to a braiin tumour....The one good thing is he had 8 months of love and care....Although does not make it any eassier...I sometimes hate people for the way they treat animals!!! :scared:

welcome to the forum - it's warm and very cuddly here

I know what you mean about pedigrees - I have a pedigree Russian I paid a lot for years ago, and would hate to buy another - although if I don't I probably won't be able to own another

and pedigree cats in rescues are, I would think, vulnerable to falling into the wrong hands, for the wrong reasons, so need our help too

Hi, New to the forum...
« Reply #1 on: March 19, 2009, 10:02:11 AM »
Hi all, I have just joined after a friend told me about the forum.....I have 2 Siamese and 2 Exotic cats, as well as a gorgeous white and ginger moggy that adopted me.....I have had cats for nearly 30 years....but always pedigree cats...
I foster kittens for my local Cats Protection....Having just rehomed the last litter.....They were little darlings, and have now gone to a gold plated home, which makes fostering so worth while.....These kittens were dumped ina garden in the coldest weather, one had flu, the otherr had to be syringe fed for a couple of weeks as he would not eat, the biggest 2 were just terrified....all are now healthy and in new homes..
I did not realise the extent of the problem with casts until I joined cast forums, and started working with the CP. One thing I am more that sure of now is, I will never own another pedigree....
Look forward to chatting .....TC...
