creep round the garages after it's dark - take a torch as this will reflect any kitty eyes hiding away

Done yet another trawl round with no joy. I'm soaking, cold, starving as can't face eating and just when I think I'm all cried out I start again!  Here's hoping someone has taken her in.  Printing my next batch of leaflets for another walk round later on.  It's difficult to go to garages as we've all got gardens and any garage is set back into the garden.  Hopefully now it's coming darker she may get brave and come out from wherever she is (though she is normally happy out and about during the day).

C'mon Lilly, come home.  Robbie's beginning to miss her now - he's gone more clingy than ever and just wants to be with me.

I went through the same last year.
My Tilly went missing for a day.

My advice is make friends with your neighbours, try and speak to them personally.
Tilly tuned up 3 doors away, she got in through there disused cat flap and was hiding under a bed, she was terrified, we can only think she was hiding there.

Keep positive leave no stone un turned.

Karen please don't start putting 2 and 2 together, although I did the same and so have many more Purrs people.  We are good at talking to people but we do things we tell others not ot do.  :Luv2:

Some other cats by me went missing and they were nothing to do with Smudge.

Keep looking and keep shouting and take food out and pray like mad.

Good luck.

Come on Lily............your meowmy is missing you, please come home.

If you dont I will have to do one of my famous roars and you really wouldnt want that would you.

I think going out late at night and calling is the next thing to do and listen carefully for replies.............my tortie just stays hidden and then will appear in the house but she is semi-feral but does know here name and its usually on for a few hours at night but she is a real hunter.

I hope Lily wanders in, could she be shut in somewhere like outbuildings, garages

Just got back from leaflet drop and still no sign. Not many people in though so hopefully when people start coming home and checking places she may show up.  I've gpt another bunch of leaflets to do and drop off later (lady from accross road who we are friendly with says she goes into the next block of houses so will trawl them later.

More news though, another cat went missing from a house close to mine yesterday morning.   :(  The two disappearances could be totally unrelated I know. It's just strange.

Many years ago Sofa went missing for 2 days - we think she was shut in a garage or something and she came home looking none the wiser or worse, Bunty went missing for 10 days and we definatley think she was shut in someones garage away on holiday as they way the days fell when she went missing to when she came back would have been someones 10 day holiday - she came back fine but skin and bone, Poppy was found trapped in a mobile holiday home warehouse and we got her back fine so don't give up sweetie x

Thanks guys. There's no sign of her still but couldn't take the morning off work to look go door-knocking. I've rung all the vets, the council and RSPCA and no sign of her anywhere.  Preparing some leaflets now and going out this afternoon and hoping that that will generate some news.

Karen,

Go out at night and look - don't be shy about calling her name at 3am! I went through the same thing last Tuesday when Izzy didn't come home. She is always back by 4pm and by 10pm I was ill with worry. The best advice I received was to go out at night as you have more chance of hearing her. Talk to neighbours too. Search aggressively for your wee one.

I eventually found Izzy 23 hours later: she was lost and frightened. She's grounded now!

Here's the link from my thread when madam decided to get herself lost..  http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,22851.0.html

Thinking positive thoughts.

There are some very good tips on Purrs to help find her and I am sure she will turn up soon - could she have got herself shut in somewhere?

Loads of hints and tips here hun:

http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,305.0.html

As Mary says ... it's best to get your posters out ASAP.

Good luck and stay positive.  Keeping everything crossed that Lilly will be home soon

BTW ... In my opinion a cat is officially missing when they don't come home at their usual time and definiately after 1 night.

Karen please stay positive and keep looking - get posters up in nearby shops, churches, telephone boxes, post boxes etc. I searched every day for 7 months for my Smudge.

Good luck and fingers crossed.

My darliing Lilly went out last night and hasn't come home.   She loves the outdoors but always comes in for supper at 10(ish) but didn't show up last night.  Fortunately she is chipped so if anyone does take her to a vet then we can be traced.  She's neutered as well so shouldn't be off looking for fun.

I've done the ususal things like driving the neighbourhood to see if there is any sign of injured cat on road, walked round calling her and this morning have gone down to the field at the bottom of the road but it's like she never existed.

I'm getting together a list of vets to ring when they open and also the Council's cleansing department (just in case).  Then going door-knocking to see if anyone has taken her in overnight.

I am trying to stay positive and hope that she will come back but I just have this horrible feeling that she won't be comng home.
