Glad you think the list is good.  I must admit I go onto the National Pet Register every day and send the hints and tips to everyone who has listed a missing a furbabe and the number of emails I get back from people thanking me and updating when their little ones are found warms my heart everyday and keeps me sending out the information.  Just knowing you may have played a very small part in reuniting an owner and furbabe is so rewarding.

Hi Joote, Morrissey and Dahlia   :welcome: to Purrs,

I'm sure you will have a great time on here.  Morrissey and Dehlia and gorgeous  :Luv2: :Luv2:

I notice you say you look after the lost and found section for your local CP ... you may be interested in the list of hints and tips that we offer to everyone that has lost a furbabe on how to get them back.  Although the list is affectionately know as "Sams lists" I can't take credit for all the ideas I merely put them together in one document but please feel free to pass it on to anyone who is missing a kitty. http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,305.0.html

Hello :) There is some amazing advice there I will print out a copy and even lamanate it (i like to do this lol) To be honest though its hard enough to get people to even report them lost! It's amazing this past week we put an add in the local paper for a cat found the end of august! and the huge response we got all from people who has never contacted us about the origonal loss! Unfortunatley none of them were the correct owner but at least I have thier missing cats on record now! The advice on thier is brilliant though and I'm sure someone desperatley wanting thier baby back would try all of them! I'll let you know if I have any sucess

Hehe thanks! I'm sure Moz would love the play with your two! Dahlia... not so much... shes a bit territorial!

Ikea is just bad, I mean you go through buying too many things you dont really need for the house and then you're faced with lovley cat beds! I dont know if you've spotted the one they do thats like a mini chaise lounge black and red..... I've resisted it for about 2 years now... but dont know how much longer i can hold out....

Ps they dont even go in the tent hahah

Hi Justine &  :welcome: to Purrs

Glad that you've found us, I'm sure you'll like it here - it's a really friendly forum with lots of friendly helpful advice if ever needed  :) I feel it is my public duty to warn you however that it can be a teensy bit addictive - you have been warned  :evillaugh:

Morrisey and Dahlia are gorgeous  :Luv2: They are also very lucky, I spy the latest Ikea tent and a super duper aeroplane box in the pic - my two boys are asking if they can come and live with you  :evillaugh:

Hi everyone,

wow look at all these cat smilies!!! I'm impressed.   :)
My name is Justine although I go by the username of Joote for some reason.
I've only just gotton the forum bug, and am a regular on one other but a reccomendation (thanks trigger) has landed me here!
It does look nice!
A bit about myself, I'm a dedicated cat lover, always have been however more so since I left home at 17! (now 19)
Despite my age I act alot and come across (i think) as a lot older
I've got two furbabies coming up to 2 years old.

here are a few pictures
Since moving to Bristol I started volunteering for cats protection ( I offered other cat charities and none got back to me :o)
Started with the general collections and fayres but wanting more involvement I've now taken over the lost and found responsibilities, its quite hard not to want to take in every waif and stray (and there are a lot) but I enjoy doing my part.
Have also signed up to do a 10k run with my OH in may to raise money for CPL (a challenge for anyone but i'm the last person you would imagine in a run)

Apparently you're all lovely here and dont post threads that would make me want to pull my hair out for the lack of common sense some people have

So basically

hello!!
