Think there's a space for me between them?  :evillaugh:

They said as long as you don't block the heat and have a bowl of salmon in each hand, they have no objections  :evillaugh:

Not at all - Annoyingly, the senior partners are fine with me now and this is a new vet who obviously doesn't know the score. If she hadn't been so rude, I wouldn't even consider being difficult but she has really got my back up. The only thing that might hold me back is Peter, one of the partners is really nice - he is the one who de-clumped Kylie for free when we moved here. He also said last year that although we don't use them, if ever I have any problems with the cats, to not hesitate to bring them in.

They don't exactly encourage a feeling of "neighbourliness" do they?

OH sided with BC last night over the table going on the fire. Despite the snow, it wasn't too cold in the basement. The logs were delivered about 1/2 hour ago and it is warming nicely. It isn't too cold outside but where the basement is 1/2 underground, it can get really cold at times. I think the ground must be damp where the sea is so close?

I am annoyed as one of the vets had to move her Range Rover and made a big song and dance and said how inconvenient it was. I think they forget that we are supposed to have 24/7 access - she is in for a rude awakening as I am going to tell OH and we are going to block off the land that belongs to us and they will have trouble parking all the time going forward. I am also going to tell them that their customers are not allowed to park on land that belongs to us at the back any more just to push the point  >:(

I suspect Alice knows Willow has your missing saw, and is eyeing up the suitable items of furniture for use in the wood burner!

Tell me about it!  :evillaugh: - Willow's is just a chair from the spare room. She must have been feeling so cold earlier in the week that she had thrown caution to the wind to sit on the floor in front of it. Until last night, Alice had been good so I don't know why she decided to swipe poor Willow last night   :(

There really is a flame although it doesn't show in the photo - not much of one as I was down to the last couple of logs (waiting for a delivery now) I took another one without flash but it is horrible. Thi s was before Alice decided to jump down and give Willow a slap  :tired:

(excuse the mess on the hearth - I have cleaned it up now  :-[ )
