How on eart did did they manage to break their cat tree?!! I have the same one and its taken a lot of pounding but is still standing...

Well Dave quite likes flying at it from peculiar angles and he's not the most graceful or co-ordinated cat so it took a pounding and was already a bit wobbly. The they were chasing each other at they both flew at it knocking it over where it hit the wall and the post just popped off. I think it's fixable (but not by me) so the fosterers will be given the broken part as they've said they'll happily have a go at re-attaching the perch.

It was probably a good thing as they both cherished that perch at the top and not having it has forced them onto an even level  :naughty:

They actually rather like each other now, not even a week in and last night Chilli lay on the rug next to Dave about an inch apart. It unnerved Dave though and he had to get up  :evillaugh:

She's a cutie, i love those pouffy cheeks :Luv2:

Those puffy cheeks only seem to really appear in pictures  :scared: She actually has a very slender face, she's very petite, if I ever get a pic of them together you will see what a little lady she is  :innocent:

So pleased for you, pictures are lovely. So when did she come back I seemed to have missed this piece of news and how long was she gone for?

She came back on Monday, my birthday, there's another thread floating around about it. She had been missing since October.

I am so happy for you how awful it would have been had you never found her before you moved.  She is beautiful I love black cats both my Guinness (RIP) and my Dragan (RIP) were black and yes they are difficult to get a decent photo of.  The last one is excellent and she looks in such good condition

mine are not too fond of being sniffed. the dog makes them wet when he does it so I am not allowed either ...

:evillaugh:

Dave seems to enjoy a good sniff.  :shify:

I'm going to make leaflets tomorrow in work Helen so I shall keep you all posted.

Chilli is beautiful  :Luv2: I'm so glad she was found before you left for NZ  :)  Did you ever manage to track the lady who found her down again?  I'm sure she'd love to see those pics of Chilli safe, relaxed and back where she belongs  :)

may be the lady wore perfume... My cats tend to take up the scent of whatever perfume I wear (I don't wear it often so notice these things) and they smell of D&G for days afterwards ...

That's what I thought at first but it isn't fading and is all over, well all the bits she will allow me to have a sniff of, she is still in a bit of a strop with me  :shy:

I was prescribed some cream for cracked hands - the cream had a very strong "medical" scent - I got used to it but a friend commented that Mr T smelled "medicinal" - no doubt some had transferred from me to him!  He certainly has glossy fur

photos never do a black cat justice

I think youve done a splendid job with the photos  :)  Trying to take pics of my own black monster cat I appreciate how hard it is .... Yet you captured gloss on her fur and her eyes are in focus ;  theres none of the "alien-cat" look.

Lovely!!

She is one of those cats that naturally stays in remarkable condition but the lady did look after her very well, I was amazed what good condition she was in when I picked her up. Kudos to her if she managed to bath her too!

Things are going really well, Dave just annoys her constantly but Chilli is coming round, she had a proper head rub from me when I got in from work and she will play with Dave, still grumbling but now it's Dave who gets over excited and too rough. They are finding their way with each other really quickly though. Every night when I come home from work there seems to have been another leap in progress.

She's clearly fed up being stuck indoors though but it is just tough, not a hope she is getting out anytime soon, toys and Dave will just have to do for now.

how are things with the three of you settling down?

Managed to get a few pictures but it's the same as always, photos never do a black cat justice and she is also a very reluctant model.

I also think that she must have been a bit grubby when the lady found her as she now smells very fragrant and not in a cat way!

Also, I am loving that I can post Chilli pics, I'm such a happy Meowmy  :Luv:
