If ever there was a time for dancing bananas it's now :yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy: :yayyy: I'm so happy for you all - can't believe how relaxed and affectionate he is  :wow: not to mention absolutely GORGEOUS  :Luv2:  Defo agree that he looks very wolf like  :Luv2:

To all that helped get him to where he is now, you're amazing   I wonder if Nicky (who deserves a medal for saving him and lots of others like him) has the contact details of the person who found him that day broken and bruised, would be lovely to show them the pics of him in his forever home  :)

Helena I am so pleased for you chuck.  I reckon he's settling in so well cos he can smell Jameson.  When I got Bonnie from the RSPCA after them taking her tail off and looking after her for 9 months she also settled straight away and I believe it's because she could smell Smudge and new that she would be safe and be loved.

He's soooo lovely and so chilled out, mind you, the girls were just the same, set everything up in the front room for them and within an hour they were exploring the whole house. i have a photo with a very similar contented cat look too! I think he knows he's home now! I'm so happy everything has worked out for you and for him, sounds like his long journey hasn't bothered him at all!

He's quite a "dumpy" little lad isn't he  :evillaugh: :evillaugh:  For some reason I thought he be a skinny mini.

I wonder if its something to do with having no tail?

Giz was a chunky-looking cat once he had no tail.  Before that he was what my Nanna would have called "Cheese-grater-ribs"!! or "Skinny gutted herring"

Ok... first off, here is 'Busters' history that I got through JackSpratt (who got it from Nicky - the vet nurse)

''Buster was found at the side of the road. Wet, cold and unable to move.He was picked up by a member of the public who called the RSPCA. The RSPCA told her to take the cat to the vet where they said they would put him to sleep.

I refused and told the RSPCA that I would try and find an owner, therefore I would take over his care. We gave him emergency treatment straight away for the shock and pain. The day after once stabilised we x-rayed to find his pelvis was shattered and at this point he was incontinent. We couldn't pin him due to the damage done. He stayed at the vet for a week, from there he was caged in a foster home and came to the vets twice a week for check ups. Once he was strong enough we took off his tail as it was dead and he kept urinating and standing on it. We castrated him at the same time. Since then he has gone from strength to strength."

And here is the update!

Sally & Paul (sandplangham) arrived at ours at 4pm with a carrier containing a gorgeous white & tabby boy. I was very concerned that he would be traumatised, confused and bewildered after the journey, so had put all his stuff in a special corner for him (bed, food, tray etc). Opened the carrier and said hello. First thing we saw was 2 curious, big eyes, looking around. He instantly crept out of the carrier and started exploring. When he went under the bed (& stayed) we figured we should go to the next room and give him some space and time to get used to everything.

I brought a bowl of Whiskas for him, and he hurried (on wobbly legs) to the bowl and scoffed it all. I left him to eat, and it wasn't long before we saw 2 eyes peeking at us in the lounge doorway. Apparently he was not interested in being alone in a boring room with no hoomans with hearts to capture! He sniffed around and then climbed up on the sofa, to join us - right in between us all. He is SUCH a sociable cat. Robin got Jamesons grooming brush out (as by this point there was white cat hair all over our sofa), and 'Buster' loved it. He started purring softly, lied down and folded his paws under his chest - looking very comfy.

As Sally & Paul were leaving, he looked up and looked a bit confused yet satisfied, as if he was saying : ''Thanks for the trip but I've decided to stay at this stop''.

Since then he has been the most affectionate & loving cat, purring and headbutting us every few minutes, while exploring new corners of the house. He has finally settled (next to me) on the bed, although he keep waking up to little noises and it's as if he doesn't want to close his eyes and fall asleep in case he happens to have been moved to yet another place. But he doesn't need to worry, as this is his final stop, where he will be safe, warm and loved forever.

More updates to follow, as we get to know him better etc. We don't have his final name yet - we need to get to know him better first.

Thanks to everyone involved, in every way - this would not have been possible without you guys.  And last but not least, I know Jameson is the brain behind all this, so he will get a very special thank you from all of us.

Here are the pictures I have, and a few videos to show how relaxed and inquisitive he is.

with Robin, Sally and Paul comfy on the sofa

Pretty wolf hound husky cat!

Satisfied puss!

A sofa to call his own (we'll find a space on the edge to balance on)

Next to me right now, finally snoozing

And a few videos (hope they work!)
