:Luv: oh bless him .... I'm sure he will be happier once he gets into a foster home.  Poor baby.
In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

Siamese Tibbets 12 yrs old needs lots of care

We have just taken in Tibbits a 12 yrd old Blue Point Siamese, who owner died 2 months ago. He was being fed daily but not much else. Tibbits have never been outside and looks like an old man, he is very overweight (around 6KG) over weight. Tibbits will be with us some time, as poor mite is having a job to walk. I was going to try and take him on myself but I think he is just to set in his ways to tolerate other cats, especially my two that are about the same age, but still catch the rabbits.

Tibbits dosnt seem to have any phsyical health problems other then his weight but is very withdrawn, he looks very sad. Ideally with time to get his diet under control, we would like to see him to to a home that knows abit about Siamese. He has never known another cat and i was told he spays but we havnt seen him do that. I contacted the vets that he was registered with and his seemed to have a problem with overgrooming which all points to stress.  I would like to see him go to to a home where he cat totter around the garden.  Poor mite, he does indeed look abit sorry for himself and needs some major TLC. Its very sad case of neglet I feel and it was only on the off chance that I decided to take him in as I didn't think the daughter of the man who Tibbits belonged to was not  thinking straight. Just feeding a cat for 2 months is not really good enough, especially with sociable Siamese.  We found some room and he is now in a pen, although I think he will find it difficult to get around, we are trying to get him into an indoor fosterer for a few weeks, and put him on a diet.

I don't think he would like to be with other cats, but not sure, and certainlty dogs would not be a good idea. Needs a quiet home with uddles of TLC and someone who dosnt feed him chicken and prawns, as that is what he was being fed on and no doubt not helped his weight.  Indeed my past experiece is that it is very difficult to have a very overweight Siamese they are usually thin boned, but I think wrong diet and lack of exercise and mental stimulation has no doubt helped this poor boys decline.  He needs someone to cheer him up.

Tibbits is completely up to date with vac and is now chipped.
