I think you'll find the shorts wearing is a bravado thing.

They have bets with each other at the depot about who is first to whimp out and the loser has to do a forefit.

That's the way it was with male bus drivers when I worked with them.

yes he does! They would be easier for climbing the stairs I guess. When I was at agricultural college many years ago we had one farm worker who never wore a shirt. You knew it was cold when he pulled on a singlet over his top

and that was in western victoria, where it gets reeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally cold in winter. Ice and howling gales on a regular basis. brrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I received one of my things today, my book. I'm having it all delivered to work because I'm not patient enough to be picking things up fropm the sorting office (which I can do next day, it's a five minute walk from my flat).

Can't wait to get my other things, everyone in work are excitedly waiting for the Ferrero Rocher

Does he wear shorts? My postie ALWAYS wears shorts. We've still got some of the snow on the ground from last Tuesday's fall which tells you how cold its been and STILL he wears shorts - and he's not the only one. We had a replacement postie a few weeks ago (first one probably off sick with pneumonia) and she wore shorts too.

Excellent news! According to the note my postie left for me today, 3 parcels have arrived, but since I will have to wait for Saturday to have them redelivered I don't know what they were - all recorded delivery though so will have to sign for them.

I am so sorry I wasnt to be able to be involved in the end of the auction and would like to thank Tan and all the helpers, especially hannah who covered for me after puta died on Friday evening.

The amount raised was fabulush and I am so pleased that the auction went so well and hope that everyone had fun and will be ready to play agin next year

I am sure that Buster is looking down on the proceedings Teresa and thinking wow wow wow and am sure he has been directing proceedings

I currentlu have a puta thats wide open to the hackers of the world and already have a message that has zoomed in so must get off line to trya nand sort this out.

Wow this is fantastic,guess I`m probably the last person to see the result as things have been very hectic today ,literally been up to my arms in poop

I noticed when I received the receipt that it came from donations@purrsinourhearts.co.uk. the instructions below do not include the last 2 bits of that address, which is probably why it was not recognising the account. I suggest everyone uses the donate button if they can as it will take you straight to the account ...

Success at last. What appears to have done it in the end is altering the first name field. I originally entered just 'Carol' in this field since it asked for name (singular). However, I have two forenames and when I put both in it worked - just in case anybody else is having the same problem.

However,

in my excitement at actually getting past the first page I seem to have missed the 'add a note' bit, tbh I'll swear it wasn't there, so my money is winging its way to Purrs without any identification on it.

Another suggestion is to maybe find one of us who banks with the same bank as you, you can transfer them the money instantly and then they can make the payment for you.

Have done that Jo. The only thing I can think of is that it doesn't like the county. I've had problems with that before on the Internet where sites have county as a mandatory field so I enter one and then that doesn't correspond with the billing address my cardholders have for me which is just Bolton followed by the postcode (largely because some people say Bolton is Lancashire and others say it is Greater Manchester). Hmmm maybe I've answered my own question - I'll go back and try putting in Greater Manchester.

my only suggestion is that if you have not clicked on the update button beside the amount you have donated it does not register the amount you have put into the box where you put the amount. If you have done that and been redirected to the next screen where you put your card/membership info in, then I have no useful suggestion ... it can be very touchy I have to say...

Well Paypal really does not want to know me

I have just tried for a third time to pay and the same thing happened again. When I get to the point where I have updated the donation and filled in my card details and address (I don't have a Paypal account) I push the donate and review button and all that happens is the country, cardtype and county fields go blank, the rest of the information stays on the page and the egg timer beavers away but I get no further. I've tried 2 different cards and left it for over 10 minutes this last attempt before giving up. Needless to say I have double-checked that the information I entered is correct.
I really don't want to have to pay by cheque because some of the items I have won are Christmas cards and by the time the cheque has cleared and I've received them it could be too late to use them this year

. Is anybody else having this problem? Any suggestions on why Paypal has such a down on me.

Doh!

I just realised I should have sent the money to Purrs and instead I sent straight to Teresa. Told you I was tick!

Hopefully Teresa will confirm a payment of £40 from me which cover my bills plus a little something on top.
