the smell will go away soon if it is only the smell from their previous home. The only time I have had cats smell bad was when they had a bad flea infestation - I assume you have treated yours, if so, I would give it it a few days and see what you think. Better not to traumatise them with a bath if you can avoid it in your first few days of getting to know each other.

i only need to do it becoz where i got them frm the house wasnt clean and the dogs they had smelt and all i cn smell is dogs on them

Cats generally hate baths so unless they actually need one eg covered in oil why stress them out? And yourself!
Why do they smell? You can get pet wipes to freshen up, much more appropiate for a water hating species!!

I always use Johnsons baby shampoo on my lot ... they all smell  lovely after a baby bath  :Luv2:  (Not that they ever smell bad of course)
In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

Bam Bam has a few shampoos but one of them is Johnsons baby shampoo which should be ok for your two.

I dry Bam Bam with a drier but he is a persian  :)

wats the best kitty shampoo that actually smells ok my kittys r bit wiffy :sick: and was talkin to my sis she told me to dry them with a hair dryer is that the thing to do or not fort it sounded a bit cruel lol but im a softy when it come to my kittys  :rofl:
