It does sound that she is eating too fast but have you asked a vets opinion?

She does bolt it down stupidly fast, we have tried feeding her it alone in a room but its the same, its a shame as she adores soft food.

I have heard in some cats they cannot tolerate wet food, usuallly because of the speed at which they eat. With dried food tehy at least have to chew whihc slows them down a bit. Probably is as a result of bolting behaviour. If she manages ok on dry, I personally would leave her and supplement it with her fave titbits.

Have you tried changing the wet food that you give her? Some types of wet food on one of my old cats causes him to pebble dash the carpet.

Wondering if anyone else cats do this - every time Bunty eats soft food within 5 mins she brings it up again.    She does eat it very quickly, literally without breathing so assuming its this as anything else she eats ie tuna, chicken or dry food stay down.
