OK,Thank you,  will do.  I will go buy another collar this week just like the type my other two cats have that snap open.  It funny too because I bought that other collar at the rescue center when I adopted my cat.  You would think that they would not sell that type?

Yes it was an elastic collar !!

When you say elastic, is that the type of collar that has the elastic in the middle but has a regular buckle?

yes hun thats the type
If you have to use collars make sure they are the safety ones that snap open xx

If so I need to change one of my cats collar because that is the type Haney has on right now.  My other two cats, Hunter and Indy have on the type of collar with a break away safety buckle.

Oooh that poor kitty!  I don't want that to happen to my cat.

I have never felt the need to spend money on collars for my cats, and now I am glad.  I didn't know such horrific injury could be caused by the things.  It looks like she could have lost the leg.  Thanks for the warning Michelle

That picture is terrifying. I assume the little girl in question is fully recovered? Was it an elastic collar?

Yes she is all better now, that is her in the other pics with her babies  :Luv:
