Reckon it was the carpenter. Mine haven't tolerated any 'invaders' for quite a while now and don't even like friends around in "their" space.  So glad that Clatpton's eating again and hope no more problems with his appetite tomorrow. It really does scare you when they do this.

Thats great Mark, good ol Clapton  :Luv:

I have recently sussed out a novel way of giving Misty His Fortekor  ;) for the last year I have been buying Him Pit'r Pat treats
http://www.petsathome.com/products/1I02-Dental/pid-11777
And He just Loves them, sometimes swallowing whole without crunching them, which gave me the Idea of tricking Him, and it works  :wow:
although I now think He is starting to get wise to it  :(

Hamish used to be a nightmare when it came to giving medication both paws would come up and prise my hands away from his mouth, and His
claws were like Needles

Misty on the otherhand is a lot better, and allows me to tilt his head back and chuck the fortekor down ees throat :evillaugh: but he doesn't like it
and struggles sometimes

anyhoo this is what I have been doing for the last 6 mornings  ;)

Take the Fortekor out of foil and place in hand along with one Pit'r Pat treat, I then show Misty the treat and let Him smell it(note intrigued look on face)
get him a wee bit more excited by waving hand in front of his face. then do a paul daniels impersonation and swap the treat for the Fortekor, throw it on
the ground and sit back and laugh to yourself as Misty Crunches it up Purring at the same time    I then give Him the Pit'r treat to take away
the bad taste

although I now think He is starting to get suspicious  :shify: like gwen says " They arent thick "

anyway, I'm so glad Clapton has eaten Something  :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:

He came down for a scoff  :Luv2:

He had his 1/2 tray of chicken Sheba which is the only food he will wolf quick enough to not notice the Fortekor  :evillaugh:

Then he demanded more so I gave him some!

He is back upstairs now - hopefully he was just scared. He is terrified of strangers  :(

could He just be having an off day? or like you said He might be scared of all the noise the carpenter made
Have you tried bringing the food to Him and see if He will try some ??

Do you have any treat foods which might tempt Clapton into eating some dinner?

Maybe he is just unsettled with the visitor earlier.

Give him a chin-rub from me and Max

Usually he follows me down and sits by his dish waiting. Sometimes he come down a bit later. He hasn't been down at all today  :(

I went up to see him a couple of times and he is really purry and washing me as he does  :Luv2:

I stayed for a cuddle and he gave himself a good wash so he seems OK.

I had a carpenter in for a couple of hours this morning so wondered if it scared him. If he hasn't eaten by tonight, I will phone the vet.
