Ah well done!  It is so special when they do this. Lexy is similar and only now wants a cuddle voluntarily. Makes you want to get all teary when they show that trust.

Oh! The delight when this happen. I once had a cat which came from one of those houses like  you occasionally see on telly. full of urine faeces and cats dashing around and not being able to be caught. She lived upstairs for 2 years then one day came down and jumped on my knee. I must admit I did shred a tear of joy.

Excellent Michelle, the love you give her and the time you spend has paid off and you've gained her trust  :)

I was ecstatic after Bilbo first came to sit with me. Now if I could just get the little sod to make me a brew ...
From out of nowhere you came strong as stone
And now I'll never have to be alone

Fantastic!! I've recently had a similar experience with our Charley cat who is very very affectionate but just wasn't a lap cat - but now she occasionally jumps up and sits on one of us...

As saffron says, soon you'll have to make sure you've got everything within reach before you sit down.... ;D
Ah, summer - the season for a daily mouse...

God i feel like a proud Mum who's kid has just taken its first step or something LOL

My Lulu is 18mths old. I took her from the cattery as she came in as an unwanted kitten who hadn't had any socialization (left in a shed with her siblings and Mum).
She is friendly but very quiet and unassuming and doesn't like being picked up and has never sat on a lap!

The last couple of weeks she has started to "stand" on my lap but would quickly walk off -
Well 10mins ago i was laying on sofa watching abit of TV (as you do) and she came and stood on my lap, i didn't move or touch her and suddenly she lay down  :Luv:
she stayed there for about 5mins

I have just rang my OH half and although he listened he said "Oh (pause) - right do you know the footballs on tonight don't you " Grrrrrrrrrrrr
So i had to tell you lot coz i know you will understand lol

Well done my Lulu xxxxx
