Kirst, you are doing exactly as I do myself and as you already seen, so do many of the others! ;)

Not mean at all... just very sensible... :)

Thanks guys.............yes , Beavis does get a bit fed up with them after a while so it is good for him to have his own time , and his one to one cuddles with us!

blimey, not going to tell mine that they could have their own room or they may get ideas

Imho what you're doing is a great idea. I'm sure they just go to sleep once they've finished attacking their toys. I'm sure Beavis approves too  :)

I don't think it is mean at all. My cats are always shut in the cat/kitten room at night, when we are out, if we want to have all the windows wide open to air the house or for any other safety reason (ie people doing work in the house). When we get up in the morning or get home from wherever we have been they are let out. Mine absolutely love their room and when it comes to nap time in the day they all troop back upstairs to the cat room to go to sleep  :)

I think you are a very kind and thoughtful Mummy.  You should tell them about all the poor little cats with no nice room all to themselves

Yes, you are wicked and Gizzy and Jerry should come and live with their new Mummy  :evillaugh:

Seriously though, No - you're not mean.  Beavis should be allowed his own space when you're not there to keep an eye on them, I would do the same thing in your shoes.

Jerry and Gizzy have the run of the house when either me or my hubby are in , but when we are out we shut them in the spare room as Beavis needs a bit of space , and also if the kittens are about the catflaps have to be locked and windows shut and of course then Beavis cant get outside if he wants to - if we are in we let him in and out!

They have lots of toys , a litter tray , and beds in their room , and its a reasonable size , but I do feel guilty about leaving them in there. :scared:
