Sorry Gill - just people from rescue often mention the ridiculous reasons for rehoming and i thought this was up there as one of the worst. I didn't post it because it was a free ad per se.

I think peeps should keep away from the freeads as one is always gonna see more and more nasty stupid stuff and so many animals needing homes.

If you really must read them then I think that links should be kept off this site. Purrs will be putting out info about this shortly and instructions to moderators.

I know its very hard when you love animals to read these ad sites and not get involved but it is pointless breaking your heart because you cant stop reading them and you personally cant help the animal in question. So much good work is done by so many on Purrs within their own personal limits but there is a limit to what can be done.

Make sure that if you want to help any of the animals on these sites you can do it personally.

I am sorry if this sounds hard but reality has to kick in and most of us are full with cats we can cope with and/or also at the limit of financial resources. As you know especially those from CC, when there have been cats in dire need many have helped to try and save lives and I am sure will do again.

I have just read THE BEST reason for rehoming family members ever!Read on.............

2 lovely female cats sisters 3 years old ginger and white very loving long haired fluffy tales good with kids not been nuetered house trained names are roahda and rosie both very lovable both must go to same home as they have always been together there just like dogs follow u everywhere even to school reason for adoption is we go on holiday twice a year and it is hard to find someone to cat sit as i would never put them in a cattery

So 4 weeks holiday a year justifies getting rid of your cats - absolutely priceless

Unbelievable. poor babies, their little lives being sold like this. At least registered educated breeders care about the kittens they bring in to the world, and before they are born already have homes for them.

So much better to get 1/2/3 kits from your local shelter/CP/RSCPA and pay an amount that goes back to helping other unwanted animals instead of lining people pockets...........

I emailed an Ad yesterday (i'm so bored i must go back to work lol) where the lady had said
"i don't beleive in neutering a cat before she has one litter. "

i asked her why she thought this and she replied
"Oh, because they are young and deserve to experience the feeling of
motherhood. I wouldn't like to have been sterilized before I have the chance
to experience it."

After sending her along email explaining how i feel about it and pointing out all the downsides she replied with
"I suppose I didn't think of that. I would keep one or two i suppose and give
others to people i know so she could see them. Its awkward really, I don't
know much about cats really, we was going to get a dog but all of the
madness been going around with dogs and attacking children, we changed our
minds. "

I just mailed them other 2 ads asking why they have priced the kittens so high. Hopefully I will get some sort of explanation back. That was for the 24karat plated and the Bengal's.

It does say they will be ready in 2 weeks so assuming its 9 weeks she plans on letting them go at? Also I've had a good look, these are not pedigree bengal kitties despite what she says.
