All normal now Clare thanks. Just keeping an eye on her litter tray as she's doing smaller poos the last two days. Gawd..the tone these threads take. Poos!  LOL. Anyway. More important is she's eating, playing and jealous that her fellow black mate Max has lost more weight than she did.

If its any consolation, I'm jealous he's losing weight as well, 'cos I know I've not lost any since I been trying so far this year grrrrr  >:(

I know. Was like a proud mum when vet said she hadn't put on weight. The new diet I put her on, which isn't really a diet, she still eats the same amoutn but she's mostly on light food, means that she's steadied out....though she did have an upset tummy yesterday :(

Great news Kittybabe and CC - as Desley says, the important thing is losing some and not putting on any more   ;D

Lexy only lost about 50 grams. But vet isn't worried. She would ideally be 4kg but she's not putting on weight and that's what's important.

Fantastic Clare!!! I hope when Lexy gets her check tomorrow the vet will say she's lost weight too. (She was 500g overweight :()

Anyway, good news on your boy, so pleased that he's lost the weight!  Lexy does the same now whens he's ready to eat...she's learned that as I don't get up when she wants me to, she just gets back into bed and snoozes until I get up.

You may remember last year when I took Max to the vets for a dental check-up, the nurse said he was weighing in a little heavy at 5.6kg.  Well, having reduced his dry food and treats etc, as well as making him chase his laser dot and sheep-mouse on a daily basis, he's now down to 5.3kg, which means its obviously doing some good  ;D

His ideal weight is 5kg, so I'll stick with what I'm doing to get him to that target, then keep it stabalised at that sort of level.

He doesn't seem to have learned yet that when his food is gone he wont be getting any more, so he's taken to diving around on my head at about 4am to let me know he's hungry    Hopefully he'll figure it out soon!
