We "inherited" a kitten yesterday, he is around 7-8 weeks old. Now, before everyone jumps on me because kittens should only be rehomed at 12 weeks + (which I understand and generally agree with), coming with us
now was the best option for this little fellow, as he had a
very uncertain immediate future. I've had cats most of my life, including very little kittens, so I'm more than a little glad we could get this little bloke out of the situation he was in.
He's cute as a bug, and not named yet (I like to watch them for a while before giving a name), although Sam, Otis, and Elvis are front runners, as are Figaro and Buster. He's eating, peeing, pooping (no litterbox problems, yay!), playing, and snoozing just fine (sleeping in his little bed next to radiator at the moment). The rest of the feline family are keeping a close eye on him through the glass door. He sees our vet on Thursday morning (no appointments sooner, unfortunately). So I hope he's as healthy as he seems, and I really hope the rest of our cat family will warm up to him!
