Have been trying to ring vets all day but always ingaged,  have now got number on ringback !
Cant get through on owners mobile either !

Problem is, i am going away for the weekend (leaving early tomorrow morning wont be back till late Sunday night)
Is there someone that can take over from tonight ???? (i'll email phone numbers over to you tonight) It would need to be someone that could either get to collect the cat or just keep up the contach for the weekend till i can get over there on Monday

furbabystar re  'tom cat to make her female pregnant'  i emailed & said more or less the same re fiv/felv so this  'said she didn't know anything of what i had told her' baffles me as the email was sent few days ago & you rang her last night?

There wasnt an email address for this ad only a phone number, are you sure we are talking about the same ad ?

let me clear up the confusion (sorry my fault)

There are 2 adds
THE FIRST
is the tabby cat that is pregnant and the women is selling for £100
Update on that is i have the ladies phone number now and also the vets phone number - i am trying to speak to vet now.

SECOND ADD
Was a lady who was looking for a tom cat to make her female pregnant ! The owner thought she was doing the best thing, thought her female was in pain while in season and she also didn't want to have her spayed as she thought it would hurt !!!!
I rang this women last night and had a long chat, told her all about FIV, FeLV, problems with birth and reassured her that having the cat spayed would not hurt the cat at all. Owner was really nice and said she didn't know anything of what i had told her and was going to prob have her spayed now

I can throw in a bit of money to the pot as well if needed.  Haven't been able to have a cat for a while - living with mum who doesn't want one is a problem!  However, she is coming round to the idea so maybe this year we will get one.  The problem is our last cat was so perfect (quiet, calm, not overly friendly to strangers, didn't jump on counters even if you left meat out etc) that it will be hard to replace him!   ;D.

Oh I See! Was getting confused when you said the woman was going to have the cat spayed now. I thought you were talking about the one that was already pregnant. There are 2 ads then? As I said before, if anyone can help the pregnant cat, I am willing to pay a bit towards helping her.

Was this from the tabby cat Furbaby? The 1 going for £100.

What was that ad about wanting to get cat pregnant all about?

Just seen this one too !!! :censored:

BUT
I rang the women and we had a really good chat, She isnt a bad person or an unloving owner,  just uneducated when it comes to cats!
I told her all about FIV and FeLV, we chatted about the probelms pregnancy can bring and reassured her that it wont hurt her cat to be spayed (which was her main worry)
She actually thanked me for ringing !! (i was expecting to be told to F off lol)
So fingers crossed this little one wont be having a litter !!!

Seems like i am really on a mission at the moment lol

Go you! Really hope you got it sorted in time. Is she parting with her little girl because she's pregnant? Will she keep her if it's just her and not a load of kittens? Enquiring minds want to know! :)

Is there any news about this poor little girl? I'm willing to chip in if the owner won't reduce the fee she is asking.

Probably because she hasn't bothered to take the poor little love to the vet.

Well i emailed her but no reply ...guess she didnt like what i said? Anyway i dont think anyone should part with any money as she dosnt want the cat then she should only consdier the welfare & a responsible home for her them selling.     Checking out with the vet etc etc is very good idea

Edited to say a small donation but not what she is asking for....as to me its only encouraging her to repeat this

I get what you are saying about the money bit but The important thing is to get that cat to a safe LOVING home!

I take it you sent her a nasty email then ? I can understand your feelings but that wont help Scotland, it will only put her back up and could stop her answering her emails.

Oh and about that nasty post Hels, I'm not stupid or daft, just pointing out what I went through with my own. And I come on here so I can care and understand my cat's better, not to give out advice and down trod on people and the last time I looked I didn't have any cat qualifications so don't know where you got that from.

Sorry ladies had to get that out of me system. To me this is now resolved and I'm leaving it there.

The seller must expect someone to go pick the cat up (if this is genuine, which is starting to turn out a bit weired I think) how else do they expect you to get the cat? Through the post???
