Your managerie is fab!

I don't do bad myself I have 3 guinea pigs, tw cats and one syrian hamster.

I see you have two sweet little robos, I had 6 at one point loved them to bits they passed on at almost 3 years old (one by one) which is a good age by hamster standards.

My Syrian Nugget is 15 months now and loves to chase my cats round whilst he's exercising in his ball. The Guinea girls live in their own shed in the garden can't wait to get them out again in summer.

I am green with envy with your horses, i had a riding lesson for my birthday last year and loved it, i'm not good with horses though their height scares me.

Welcome to Purrs!  :naughty:

I was always torn between being nervous for me and being nervous for my horse. He loved jumping but would take on anything he was pointed at. As he was also prone to taking off if he didn't like the direction we were headed I decided encouraging him to jump was not a good idea as I did a fair bit of bush riding and the chance of landing in a rabbit hole or worse was too great.

Stan was an ex-galloper and when I bought him had only two paces - flat out or stopped. So it took a long time on the longue rein to get him into more sedate paces and to develop his flexibility. He was a sorry sight when i first got him having been turned out in a paddock with no shelter during a really wet and cold winter. His coat had that nasty fungal disease that makes the hair fall out. So it took a while to get him up to show standard as you can imagine.

He was a really game horse with a wicked sense of humour, and was not averse to playing 'payback' if I made him do something he didn't want to. But he was also very considerate of his rider's ability. If my sister rode him, he would never go faster than a trot as he knew she was not a confident rider. For me he would play up and pigroot his way up and down banks with the greatest of glee!! ;D

Aw bryony!
Mouse is gorgeous (:

Black cat, I was really scared of jumping until I got Sandy, he was such a help because he had done it all before. I ended up being nervous jumping 1ft on my 12.2hh pony then I got Sandy and we could jump 3ft with ease.

gosh, you're brave, I stuck to dressage - all four feet firmly on the ground for me  ;D. I am so envious! One of these days I will track down the connections to the scanner so I can post a pic of me and Stan at the Hamilton Show (that's Hamilton Tasmania, not here in the UK).

Yeah the rossettes are mainly from pony club or some other small show or competition. Most of them were won on Tango, I have had her since I was 9 years old. A couple are from my old loan pony Sandy, I'll try and find a picture for you. x

Hiya, and thankyou (:

I've already met some pretty interesting characters and I have only been there once so far, I'll be helping out there every friday. When I turn 16, if I am still there I will take it up as a part time job and get paid for it, but right now I am happy to volunteer.
I will post a new thread next friday and tell you guys all about it, and post pics if I get permission from the cattery owner x

:hi: Hello Lucy, and welcome to Purrs  ;D

Working in a cattery must be great - you'll have plenty of good stories to tell about the beautiful and unusual cats you meet, I imagine.

I love the piccies.  Archie looks a little like my stepdaughter's dog   ;D

Hi Lucy  :welcome: to Purrs,

I hope you have a good time on here ... we are very friendly :-)

Looking forward to hearing about your other pets and the fact that you aren't currently owned by a cat is no problem ... you are "cat friendly" and that's good enough for us  ;)

Hi Lucy,

:welcome:  to Purrs - pleased to have you on board

The fact that you dont have a cat at the moment is not a problem after all how is anybody going to know we are not going to go round and check up.  You work in a cattery and so have kitty conections after all.

I think you must be one of our youngest members - but I suppose somebody will tell me different.

Hiya,
My name is Lucy am I'm 15 years old. I'm home educated and vegetarian! A bit of an odd ball. I've just started work experiance at a cattery, its really good, except for having to wash up 20ish litter trays  . Its not all that bad though, I love all animals (I own 14!!) and the cats there are lovely!

I don't have a cat right now but as soon as we can afford one I would LOVE LOVE LOVE an choco late oriental! I had a cat since I was 2 but sadly he passed away last summer.  :-[

Anywho, Hi all and I hope the fact that I don't have a cat right now isn't a problem   :Luv2:
