Hi Everyone,

As some of you know I work with the Scottish Wildcat Association, and we're currently gathering eye witness sightings of the cats around Scotland.

Wildcats can be mistaken for domestic tabbies quite easily, though further investigation usually reveals the mistake.

However, I keep getting reports of wildcats with tufted ears which just isn't right! I realised today people may be mistaking a tabby NFC or MC.

So, have we many owners on the board? We really need some good clear photos of striped brown/black tabby Norweigen Forest Cats and Maine Coons. Ideally photographed against a natural background (if people see a photo in a living room they'll immediately think it's not what they saw) outdoors, no collars or leads or people sitting with them.

I can then send these pics to eye witnesses or post them on our website and ask if that's what they might have seen and we can get much more accurate sightings!

If anyone has suitable photos they don't mind the charity using to help eye witnesses we'd be incredibly grateful!

Steve
