Thanks Helen for your kind words. I havn't seen anything quite right for Willow's resting place as yet, but i'll know it when i see it.
I did get a pretty pot of flowers for the time being, and i hope she approves!
Thanks for the momento box idea, i'll definately give that consideration, its a lovely idea.
I'm sure Tiggy will have made willow feel at home 'up there'.

Big hugs from Tracy and purrs from Merlin :Luv:

Hi Tracy

Hope you find something nice for Willow's resting place.  I would keep the letter with Willow's things, you may not feel strong enough to look at them now but you will one day.  After I lost Tiggy I had a beautiful box made with lots of photos of her on it, I keep all her things in there - sympathy cards that were sent to me, all her vet records, her special bowl, a lock of her fur etc. I still have her collar under my pillow and think I always will though!

Here's a link to Tiggy's box and the website wher I ordered it from... http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php?topic=3151.0

I hate having to do those kind of phone calls.
nicola, the insurance company should just automatically cancel the policy when they do the payment, Sainsbury's did with PEbbles (although they forgot with Tiger, and sent me renewal docs, so I had to make one of these phone calls, I was OK till the end - same with Ginger, I was fine till he started being sympathetic!!).
Please spay your cat

I wouldnt throw it away , I would save it in a safe place and later when you are stronger you can decide what you want to throw away.

I have all Kockas things in a box upstairs and cant even think of not wanting to keep them , even if I dont look at them.  ;D

Her picture sits by the pooter and she is always with me.  ;D

Take each day, one by one, there is no rush

I also got a lovely card from the vets when Bob passed and she had written in it that she understood that he was a very special boy  ( she had a soft spot for him as well) and he would be sorely missed by everyone, I blubbered for days everytime I looked at it, I can read it now and smile thinking yes she was so very right but my eyes still fill, so I think I am doing good  : now  :evillaugh:.  So you will probably look at the card in time and remember the little things Willow did and smile, knowing others thought the same as you, she was special.  Glad to hear you are getting a bit stronger, take one day at a time  Hugs to Merlin bet he's working his magic on you helping you get through the day, clever boy helping his meomy

Hi Garfield's mum,

Yes i also received a lovely letter from the vet last week, which i thought was very thoughtful. I don't want to throw it in the bin, but i can't imagine wanting to read it again either.
I've been stronger the past couple of days, but making that call set me back today, as it brings home that i have to accept my Willow is gone.
So i called in sick and have spent most of the day playing with Merlin  ;)

Hugs from Tracy and Merlin

Hi Tracy,
I've still got that call to make, I have a claim outstanding so i'm waiting for a response at the mo. as long as I get a reponse before the next premium is due.
I Got a sympathy card from the Vets for Jet today so i'm a mess.
Luckily i'm not out working/driving today just at the office (which is Home  :naughty:) so i still have Garfield around for a cuddle.

I cannot deny that a cat lover and his cat have a master/slave relationship. The cat is the master.

So sorry for your loss of your Willow, Tracy. That happened with me when I talked to the specialist who had diagnosed Lucia and started her treatment; I phoned her to leave a message that Lucia had passed away and she phoned me back several days later to ask what had happend. (Long story) I was ok for a few minutes explaining to her but then it was really too much.

So I do understand, believe me.

Crikey, just when you think you're getting stronger, it bites you on the bum again!
I psyched mself up to call the pet insurance about cancelling my cover for Willow (2nd attempt, I put the phone down the 1st time!), and then started blubbing as soon as they started asking questions.
Still, thats one hurdle dealt with............................I'm going to buy a nice garden ornament to put on her grave today, and plant some flowers, i'm actually kind of
looking forward to it, as i've been putting it off. I'm sure she'd understand. God i miss her :'(

Hows everyone else today?
