Give-a-cat-a-pill

If this is of any use, I seem to have found a different way to give a cat a pill.  Meesh is on steroids ATM (my, her muscles are going to burst!) and with two others it's a bit of a palaver to crush it into her food, keep it separate from the others and make sure she eats it all.  And she cries pitifully if I try to put it in her mouth by hand, and she doesn't really like cheese or ham which I could roll it up in.  So I tried this, and it works!

She's used to 'begging' for treats - well, she goes up on her back legs and reaches up to take a treat, anyway!  Perfect.  I hold both treat and pill between thumb and finger, and as she goes to take the treat, her head and neck are nicely extended and her mouth open ready for both to drop right in!  Works a treat! (scuse the pun!)  She's too busy crunching the treat to realise she's also crunching her pill!

So worth trying as an alternative if your cat takes treats in this way and is awkward to give pills to :)
