He has a new tactic  :shify:  Asda delivery came tonight so I put all the bags on the worksurface to be packed away - he tried to disguise himself as a carrier bag  :evillaugh:

ahh he is lovely ! Are you in Bucks ? I am in Aylesbury !

I will not reveal his wherabouts in case you have catnapping in mind  :shify:  Any catnapping plan is futile, we have armed guards, perimeter fences and all the latest security and surveillance equipment  :evillaugh:  I live about 20 miles from Aylesbury, used to work there a few years ago though  ;D

You should know better than to leave food lying around!

Glad to see you're now using the extra stern voice  ;D  I used that one last night with Mosi and he jumped down straight away  ;D

Remind me never to let Mosi and Riley meet.  I shudder at the thought of the havoc they could cause if they pooled their resources.

I had cats who could not be left alone in the room with fresh scones. They would ferret them out from anywhere. Left raw meat and they wouldn't touch it. But a fresh batch of hot buttery scones? - wolfed them down...

The stakes have been upped  >:(

Last night I lovingly made some scrummy banana loaf in the breadmaker, I had a slice (or two  :shy:) and then carefully wrapped it in cling film and placed it on the work surface.  I woke up this morning to find the cling film removed and the banana loaf dragged in the middle of the worktop, someone/something Riley had obviously had his big fat nose in it as evidenced by the Riley mouth shaped holes in it >:(  As a result of this crime I have started using my 'extra stern' voice today every time I have seen him up there and it works! He lets out his pitiful meowy cackle and then jumps down  :evillaugh:

Helen, if it makes you feel better, my Bella has a real penchant for sitting on anything soft, wherever it is put down, so we frequently find her lying on towels and oven gloves on top of the work surfaces!  Leave a sock lying around, she'll sit on it ... my all time favourite was when she tried to sit on a duster I was still holding!!  I will have to take a photo next time she does it ... she has the exact same "what?!" expression as Riley!!

He has obviously taken on board what I've been saying about not going on the worksurfaces so tonight I found him on a teatowel, on the worksurface

Don't know if I dare mention it cos it could be like mentioning the war, but all I dare say is it is a good job a poster who is not now posting cannot reply to this. Sorry newbies we cannot go there. ;D

Following on from the video thread about Riley's blatant disobedience (http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php?topic=6951.0)...

He has obviously taken on board what I've been saying about not going on the worksurfaces so tonight I found him on a teatowel, on the worksurface  :innocent:  As a result he has been sentenced to fridge  imprisonment...  Oh well, the fridge needed a good clean out anyway  :innocent:
