I woke up this morning to Molly curled up in my arm under the duvet, and Zi on my other side on top of the duvet - both will sleep under the duvet though. No idea where Sam sleeps, as he rarely comes upstairs - I assume either the sofa or his blanket on the windowsill.

My three have run of the place. Tilly has her spot at the bottom of the bed - if one of the others is there she will wait for them to get up and then nick her spot back   ;D Kitty has phases where she will sleep in the front room for a few weeks, then move to the bathroom to sleep in the basket.. with the very ocassional night spent in her cat bed!!!  And little Jess mainly sleeps on the bed, but has recently discovered the delights of the basket in the bathroom, so I'm hoping Kitty wont mind sharing!. Jess has a developed a habit of waking us up at about 6am for a fuss and cuddles, but when he is having a lazy day you will see him flat on his back with his legs up in the air!.

:Luv: I can't believe some of the most uncomfortable places kitties sleep.  Pepper stays most of the time in the spare bedroom, I have put every fleece, blanket and even Byron's igloo in there but will he use them - no! he prefers to sleep on top of a blooming wicker washing basket   :-:  oh, but if Steve has his joggy bottoms on there he will lay on those  :evillaugh:

If you look at my profile pics you will see 15 of the Clan cats on or near our bed - they claim it from 6am daily!

Throught the evening and night they tend to all be downstairs in the lounge, dining room, conservatory and kitchen

Most of the time they sleep where they like including in the dogs crates, on the dogs crates and anywear they like as they spend more time at home than we do!!!! ;D

My Raggies pretty much sleep everywhere.

But I usually wake up to at least 3 sleeping on the bed around me.

I really miss watching Maddy sleep. It's been 4 months now.

Tachi and Vader sleep EVERYWHERE! However if you have a fresh pile of washing, on top of it is by far their favourite place.

My 2 have free reign at night, the first night we had them they were quite loud and disruptive so we shut them outside as which point they became twice as loud and tried to dig to australia so we let them in again. Now they are generally pretty good, they will sleep on the bed but not disturb until about 7/7.30 for breakfast.

OH occaisionally suggests shutting them out of the bedroom permanently as they wake him in the morning but I've told him he can always go and sleep in the spare room with the door shut but I'm not shutting them out of our bedroom.

My lot sleep wherever they like ;) As long as they dont keep me awake I dont mind.

Freddie likes to sleep on my pillow, Willow and Ziggy (foster cat) on the bottom of the bed, usuallly with Colin and Gary. Lily loves to cuddle up with the dog downstairs. Boris and Tia (foster kittens) usually join the bed lot too if Ziggy is in the right frame of mind to allow them.

Willow loves to bite me on the nose at 6 am when he hears the alarm go off in the week. However, not apprieciated at the weekend

Rajah is a tyrant at night and attacks us when we move, tears the duvet cover, scratches the headboard and divan and generally is a terrible pest, so he gets shut out.  He then will eventually go to sleep in his carrier which is on top of the cupboard in the lounge.  When I get home in the evenings he will come and sleep on my chest.

Mogs usually sleeps in the front room as when I first got her I used to shut her in there. When I got ill she got scared about me not getting up and used to howl so I left the door open and would wake to find her on my bed looking at me. Where she sleeps though depends on what mood shes in it could be the settee, chair, her bed or the middle of the floor.
Amber again depends on how shes feeling. She comes to make sure Im in bed and going to sleep and shes had her last cuddle and then disappears. Some nights its her own bed, some nights whichever piece of furntiture Mogs isnt on and some nights its the bed under my bed.
I do know that I get up to the loo in the night open the door and Amber is there to escort me back to bed and have a cuddle. It seems though that Mogs has finally copped on to that and last night she came on the bed and Amber quietly left.

Thing is when Amber quietly gives in to Mogs without a tussle it always makes me worry that Mogs is ill again.  :scared:

Mine all sleep in the cat room at night. Boopy either sleeps on the top level of the scratchpost or in the kitten pen and Minxy and Pinball take it in turns to sleep in the scratchpost house or on one of the platforms.

Jaffa sleeps on the bed beside me.  He has his own hot water bottle so he lies on that rather than on me.  He has been waking me up in the night (see my Jaffa thread!) but I've cured him of that habit and he generally lets me sleep through the night (although that's about 12.30 - 6 for me so not exactly a good nights sleep).  Mosi vaires in where he sleeps - often it's on the bed lying on my legs, but sometimes he sleeps elsewhere in the bedroom or on the sofa or occasionally in the cat tree.  He rotates his sleeping places.  He used to be a pain at night but he's generally better now and settles down to let me sleep though the night.  He has his moments when he thinks the bedroom his a great night time playground, but fortunately not every night.

Poot seems to vary where he sleeps, but I've woken up to find him on the bed on many occasions now, and he comes in most mornings for cuddles before I have to get up for work  :Luv2:

Currently Ducha and Franta are sleeping on the bed, Ducha has to cuddle and be touching and snuggles against my back, unless he is being really pushy and then he lies round me head on the pillow.

Franta has just started sleeping on the pillow but two nights ago he bit my nose and scratched my face but in the morning I awoke to his head resting against my forehead.

Misa and Sasa sleep in varying places downstairs although occasionally Misa sneaks upstairs ands explores the bedroom, if he thinks the birmans are not gfoing to attack him.........sigh

Having quite a rough time with Franta at the moment cos since being ill the last time, he has become very needing to be with me and touching and he will be on the bed off the bed and meowing cos he wants to be back on and I am blocking his place, then he is on landing shouting for no reason I know, then on window sill shouting as the world wakes up..........sigh

Now the boys sleep with us, Jess usually in my reading chair in the bedroom or in an underbed storage box. Milo generally on my feet, although recently his taking to sleeping round my head.

We did shut the boys in the hallway and kitchen but this was stressing Jess out even though we'd done it for months so we stopped.

I can't remember when I last slept though the night though  :(

Not Byron! Pepper sleeps in the little bedroom so have to leave hall door open for him which means Byron would pester all me night long given the chance  :naughty: so I have to keep putting her to the bottom of the bed or preferably out of the bedroom if she's really driving me mad  :tired:

I had the same problem when mine were kittens - Riley in particular would literally be all over my head, purring, nudging and trampling at silly 'o' clock in the morning. I used the supernanny method on him - I picked him up and just said 'No' before putting him at the end of the bed. Repeated about 80 times the first night, the next night was pretty bad too but he eventually got the message and now he's as good as gold and just cuddles up next to me with no pestering :Luv2:

Ha ha the super nanny method! My OH did say having the cat would be good practice for having kids

Memphis used to be like that - he's such a night owl. Best thing to do is just 100% ignore everything. Thats what I did and after a while Memphy just gave in and decided to sleep. He knows now that if I'm in bed and the lights are off he's going to get no attention from me - so no playing. He comes to bed about 30mins after I do and he now sleeps right through the night and gets up when I do (I frequently have to wake him and tell him it's time to get up for breakfast!) obviously every cat is different, but if he can learn to behave there is hope for every cat  :evillaugh:

It would be nice if she just slept on the bed i wouldn't mind that, but everytime i fell to sleep i would get a paw in the face about 10 mins later!
I am going to try to get her into a routine where when i go to bed i take her up and put her in her bed. I don't mind her coming in when i am not at work the next morn but i really cannot function with 3 hours sleep!

Undisturbed nights sleep? What's that then :evillaugh:

Dave, given half the chance, would sleep nose to nose being stroked constantly :evillaugh: As it is, he varies from bottom of the bed, back to back with me with him pretty much at head height, sometimes on the unused pillow next to me or quite often I do wake up with his nose an inch from mine and always when I open my eyes on those occasions he's just looking at me lovingly :Luv2: At various times during the night, if I stir, he insists on some fuss and then I have to hide my hands and turn over to get him to leave me alone, it works 50% of the time!

Chilli used to sleep at the bottom of the bed occasionally coming up for a cuddle either just before going to sleep or first thing in the morning, we will see what the new routine brings in the next few weeks.

If I tried to shut them out, impossible as my door doesn't close, then it would be even more of a sleepless night. I have to say though, I do love waking up to find a furry snuggled against me or next to me.

He starts off at the end of my bed then works his way to the centre by the morning. I nearly always wake up to him snuggled to me as close as he can possibly get. He is insanely clingy and I found it impossible to keep him out so gave in trying.

Locked in the kitchen!  Seriously, I need my sleep and on the few occasions when I have let him out to have free run of the house he hasn't settled.  He is used to his little routine and knows bedtime is kitchen time and has plenty of toys and windows to look out of so he's okay.  It's been this way since he was a kitten and is all he has known. Start as you mean to go on!

Thats good to hear, i felt like a really awful kitten mummy but i was getting desperate!

As above really! Fifi wants to sleep in with me all the time but i am getting like 3 hours sleep a night max so last night i had to shut her out for my own sanity, i look like a wlaking corpse! I brought her a lovely cat bed which she does use (She was sleeping in it when i came home from work) but as soon as i put it in my room it is ignored! I feel really mean shutting the door on her though :(
