Hi all
Jacksprat yes they did email the lady.. I actually think it could of worked.. but of course the last thing we want to do is they end up in rescue again... I will however keep them in mind. Its a real shame the lady (barbara) hasnt got them in a rescue as if there were in CP care i am sure they would of been rehomed by now, mainly because of our network of branches.

Over the weekend i rehomed 3 siamese via our branch from Bexley branch.. Couldnt quite believe it..

I think that Bengals are so misunderstood - I have got 4 and couldnt imagine life without them.  They are high energy but TBH my little Tabby girl is just as naughty (in a nice way) as the Bengals.  Most people that have problems is because they only have 1 and because they are so intelligent they get bored quickly, with more than 1 they occupy each other.

I really hope these boys find their forever home soon x

what a shame, I do think there is a big over reaction where bengals are concerned, mine isn't that different from my other three but everyone assumes she is a nightmare

I have just had a reponse back and its not good news. They have done some home work on the breed and think they cannot offer a nice home for them due to work committments. Sorry couldnt of helped more but at least they were responsible enough to consider all the options.

Yes contact details are needed. I can then put my people in touch with your people and let them see if that will work.  Obv a location is needed as well... The lady we have on our records i thinks works for Pfizer which is probably only a few miles away from her home.. It does sound as though she is surrouned by wildlife (goats, sheep) etc... I am sure Julie (Pinkbear) may be be okay doing HC as not far from her but of course I would need to ask her nicely.. and as long as they were happy with our Cp HC then all systems go. They do look lovely cats..

Got this:

"Hi and thank you for forwarding the message.

I think any home where the two boys will get lots of stimulation and affection would be ideal.

I really don't know how they would get on with a dog as they haven't been around any other animals. I have heard that Bengals get on better with dogs than other cats, but I have no evidence as to whether this is correct.

It certainly sounds a possibility, obviously if the re-homers don't mind having pedigrees. I think they would be a lot happier with some outdoor exploration, but I never felt that they were streetwise enough to let them. Nelson did escape once and was missing for 5 days. When I found him he hadn't gone very far and clearly hadn't eaten anything. I think as there are a lot of cats in my area that he was too scared to find his way home.

All I can say is that they are lovely affectionate boys, but are extremely needy both for love and excitment. They do not stop talking, which may put some potential owners off. I would certainly consider letting them go to the right home, and I think if this couple have got a bit of time to settle the cats in, then it might work.

Many thanks and kind regards"

Wonderfully written, unfortunately no contact details! Have PM'd them saying I need contact details for the boys potential new home.

Thats great until i know if the current owner is keen i will not contact these people.. Just incase!! However pls note they do work but seem 9ish to 4ish i think, but having all that space outside will i think keep them occupied. They sound a very animal orientated couple and if it seems as though it could work Pinkbear may be willing to do HC as not far from her..

They are splendid cats...

I have a possible home nr me for two cats (not kittens) that is in the middle of no where. Not far from where Julie lives (Pinkbear) they work but not far from home, and have a lab dog who is cat friendly. They have fields outside, a few chickens and goats and a nice old house. No kids..and the house is well set back from any main roads.. They are currently doing the rounds for ideal puss cats..and have seen a pair at Kingsdown CS.. but nothing confirmed yet.

Is this any good for these 2 boys. bearing in mind they may not be up for pedigrees however i am sure can be tempted.. Also they would allow the cats freedom outside.

Let me know..

I have the PURRRFECT home - cat proofed garden - love  :Luv: :Luv: - a garage full  of yummy food, but I also so two male Bengals (1 who is very dominant and jelous) and a little DSH female.

These two are adorable  -  and I would take them in a flash.  I so hope the best home ever comes up for them soon, well the second best home as the BEST one would be with me  :)

Yep, I think this lady genuinely cares about these two and knows she isn't giving them the attention this breed requires. If that's the case, credit where it's due because it can't be easy giving up an animal you care about.

I agree though, hopefully new carers will ensure they gain the necessary information before taking these handsome lads on.

I amazes me how many people jump in without looking into what they are taking on. I'm sure this is often the case with certain peds. They are gorgeous  :Luv2:

The cats are 6 now Mark so sounds more like her circumstances have changed rather than jumping in without looking 'need a lot of attention which, now being on my own and having a full time job, I am no longer able to give them.'

I'm sure they'll be snapped up but I really hope the new owners don't jump in like you say without being aware how demanding Bengals can be.
