I am so pleased Smokie is going home to where she will be the most happy  ;D

Yes sadly a senile cat is the noisiest cat ever heard, but still loved

I certainly won't be complaining that the kids make too much noise and they should be rehomed  >:( >:( >:(

I would be  :evillaugh:

Smokey passes on a special Christmas headbutt to his namesake and says "Smokie's are the bestest!"

Glad this one has (hopefully) a happy ending. If it were crocodile tears, I doubt the owner would've come back for her and gone to such lengths to do so!

Well, what a christmas story!

Smokies ex-owner has just phoned up. She's moved away from the house she was renting from her daughter, had decorators in for the past few weeks and has asked whether I would consider letting her have Smokie back.

Smokie's things are all packed and I'm going to take her to her new home in the next hour or so (or at least after I get dressed  :-[).
I know the area she will be living in so she should be fine there (we had a fosterer who lived close by).

Well thats one miracle over Xmas

Oh Angie poor Smokey

I fostered Smokie last year and she is the most lovable cat you could ever meet  :Luv2: but as Angie says she does need to be an only cat.

Smokie is a real cuddlebum and just loves a lap to lie on  :Luv: I would loved to have kept her  :Luv:

Here is a pic from when I had her to remind you what a gorgeous girl she is  :Luv:

no shes not particularly noisy. The cat has just been used as ammo against the landlord who happens to be the son of the 'owner' and the 'owner' is too weak to stand up for herself in the middle of the family crisis and has thus relinquished Smokie.

That's disgusting ... how can a cat make too much noise!  What would they do if they lived nextdoor to a family with 2 new born babies ... constant crying!!!!

I certainly won't be complaining that the kids make too much noise and they should be rehomed  >:( >:( >:(

she's back from the owner who's neighbour complained. >:(

poor thing is all cowered at the moment, it's the second time in her life she's been plucked from her home through no fault of her own as her original owner died and the police brought her to me when they were dealing with things.

It's really not fair on her, I feel so bad, It's given me a stonking thumping headache - don't know how much more of this I can take myself :(

Well poor old Smokie is back, just picked her up and she is now in a pen. She'll just have to get used to the other fosters I have as she does not have the luxury of being my only foster cat at present.
I have been fuming all weekend but what is done is done.
Owner seemed very upset and I feel for her - she is talking of trying to find a suitable new home for them both.

People around me here are saying crocodile tears but I will reserve my judgement. Still if anyone knows of a good home for an only cat in the midlands..... I've got just the cat.

Covcats - New home needed for Smokie (again)
« Reply #1 on: November 02, 2007, 21:14:59 PM »
It looks as though Smokie is in need of a new home after 6 months. Her new owner is devastated as they were a really good match and have been enjoying each others company.
However the neighbour has been complaining that the cat is to noisy and the landlords (smokie's owners daughter/son own both properties) seem to have sided with the neighbour and are asking that the cat go.

Its all sounds very odd but hey ho! families eh?

Anyway, Smokie is very affectionate to people , hates other cats, a black plump 12-year old female who has now been shipped and vaccinated and given a clean bill of health.

In fact her current owner is worried about her coming back to me as while she is here she is confined to my office and does not get much attention. Can anyone give her a home as an only cat?
