Just to let you know the owner has rang and left a message on our phones.. At the moment we are ignoring him while he gets seen by the vet...

Not quiet sure what to do in this circumstance...He sounds a elderly person

Cannot save the world, but if everyone does something we can have a jolly good job trying too....

The thought occured he could be a NFC because his frame is the largest I think I've come across.  :shy:

I let him have a little wander through a couple of rooms and he came face to face with Jumpy. Jumpy took one look at his size  :poke: :omg: :faint: and ran for his life!

He looks like he may be a Maine Coon or related. he is lovely  ;D

I wonder why someone would go to all the trouble and cost of bringing him from Spain and then not looking after him.

Our welfare officer says I should take him to the vet tomorrow and get a full MOT. He may need sedation to remove his matted fur. I'm going to take pics in case there's a case of neglect in the offing.

Poor Carlos! He's done nothing since he's been here but eat tonnes of food and fall asleep. He's absolutely exhausted!  :(

What you can't see is that he's absolutely enormous in terms of bone structure. He's a cat and a half long and 2 cats tall!  :evillaugh:

I'd like a word with his supposed owners too!  :boxer:

This is my weekend visitor, Carlos.  :Luv:

Carlos was picked up by one of our fosterers, unfortunately she is busy over the weekend but will take him back on Monday. The poor soul apparantly does have an owner - he has a Spanish chip and was imported in March. But we've now had 2 reports about him not being looked after and begging from everyone in the street. He was is such a bad way when she went to investigate, she wouldn't leave him there and took him home - Carlos didn't mind one bit!  :)

He is filthy, starving hungry, alive with fleas, his pads are swollen and blistered, his coat is thick with matted lumps....  >:( :(

Sadly we are told that if Carlos's owner turns up and wants his cat back, there is little we can do other than stiff him with the vet's bill for fixing Carlos' problems.

But it's surprising how often cats escape from fosterers homes, isn't it?  :innocent:
